  1. Having ridden with both Pures and Q2s I would prefer to run Pures. Q2s are fairly cheap and work pretty well. I just personally feel that Pures offer more grip overall.
  2. I would agree with that if it were ideal and there would not be any stoppages for any reason. But if they red flag things for 20 min. you just lost a session and now you only get 4. Granted the same thing can happen at a normal track day but you have more time to let you get back on the track. I'll still think about it some more and see if I can work out the logistics.
  3. Ouch...$150 for 3 hours of track time. Trying to justify it in my head vs. spending another $40 and riding the whole day.
  4. Interesting thought on the Mid-O evening event. I'll have to see what the cost is for it.
  5. I'm calling BS....6"3" and 190lbs. Sure...in my pants. 6'3" and 120lbs. wet....maybe. GLBS!
  6. I don't do novice anymore. You'll have to just bite the bullet and move up to the I/O group. You're not supposed to do 10 novice days before moving up. I know you're good enough for I/O. Steve (RVT1000) has decided to bail on me for Mid-O so all you need to do is come out on the 15th and we'll see if we can get enough for a garage for 4 of us. You must be the only person I know that likes to work period.
  7. Save your money for Mid-O on the 15th you loser!
  8. Got screwed at 2am this morning with a call that the upgrade I was working on failed. Maybe I'll just grab the camera gear after we restart things and head out for a little while.
  9. Okay....looks like I probably won't be working tomorrow. But I don't know if there are any openings in the I/O group. So I'm trying to decide if I want to try and pack shit up this evening and come out tomorrow.....in the rain.
  10. Movin' up from the cot to the bed I see!
  11. If I had a better piece of glass like a nice 400mm L lens and a little more experience with my stuff I'd head out and help ya.
  12. Trade w/ cash for an '08 ZX6 track bike? Sad to see it go in all honesty.
  13. Oh, you might have gone down as two passengers but you'll be smuggling back something in the ole' love oven.
  14. Yes, I ment buy (and it's fixed). I was just messin' with ya. Hell if a Subaru can put up with the crap Pauly dishes out on it I'm sure it's not all that bad. For a 30mph impact it sure did carry the forces of that pretty far forward.
  15. Shouldn't you be at home workin' on makin' the next kawi kid?!?!?
  16. Just put the Flat Fish on the gov payroll and all that shit will stop.
  17. Not quick enough to be anywhere on the track with Brian. And if you're willing to take all of my calls while I'm there on Sat. from my client I'd be happy to join in. This....coming from a guy who HAS a bike but just won't get it put back together to ride it.
  18. You don't need anyone to help you do that.
  19. Damn it, if I wasn't so uncertain of my work schedule for Sat. I'd take you up on this to help you AND me.
  20. Well...Pony is now one less Star helmet as of today. I took the wife down to try on whatever she wanted to put on her head. We tried on just about everything and even though the style of the graphics isn't exactly perfect to her she still liked the Star and of course the price played a little bit into her decision. So the great thing is I kind of have a backup helmet now also because we both got smalls. Also, anyone looking at the other Bell helmet models be aware that the sizing DOES NOT appear to carry over between them! The wife could not get a small RSD on her head but she did the Star. So make sure to try them on!!
  21. Oh, I keep forgetting to ask you about that steering damper you mention at Mid-O. PM me ya fool!!
  22. No front warmer to go with the rear. I haz sadz face.
  23. Man, I would like to make it on Sat. But I will be in PA working Friday late afternoon into the evening and there's a chance I'd have to work on Saturday also. Damn these upgrade!!!!
