  1. Bummer for sure but at least it's fixable and nobody was hurt. I've always heard great things about Rife's so keep us posted on how it goes. Any good shop is gonna have a wait unfortunately.
  2. The ozone machine you bought will be the best option for removing the smells. Why are all truck wheel options so goddamn ugly? Can you get 20s off of a Navigator or something to work?

Body is good for a track car, but could use some paint in areas for a street car. Overall the metal is there and straight though. It took a hit on the RF under previous ownership and that front frame horn was repaired and you'd be able to see/inspect that area. I think he's asking around $3k for everything which includes almost that much in the suspension stuff done to the car (rear subframe reinforcement, TC Kline coilivers, poly and delrin bushings, etc). If you'd be in the ballpark then I can certainly get you more details/pricing/pics. He hasn't gathered all of that stuff for me yet just decided he wants to move on from it.

I have a buddy with an e36 M3. He was turning it into a 5.0 swap track car. It has a lot of suspension upgrades and full roll cage done, but no interior otherwise and no engine/trans.
  5. Scooters are considered motorcycles in Ohio so you have a garage novelty piece if you can't register it nor have your endorsement.
  6. Little poke on these but nothing too crazy. They're the somewhat standard 18x10+50 fit. I'll be running 275/35-18s. Not pumped about the size as it's really tall for the front of a FD but it's the closest I could get both Nittos and slicks in the same size. The CCWs for the slicks are going to be more of a challenge to fit as they're 18x10.5+45.
  7. I've been lazy in getting to work on the car for the upcoming season, but it's finally assumed the position it'll be in for the next couple of months. Haha. Hopefully it didn't get too used to being on the ground. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/white%20car/D1735E06-AB47-4D4E-A494-E957502BE506_zpsezsssugh.jpg I have started getting in some parts for this years updates. With going to a square wheel/tire setup I'll be going to stiffer front springs on the Ohlins. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/white%20car/89AB0A09-6E56-4875-A43A-81CEA1C629CA_zpsqxirz96q.jpg I also got in the first set of the new track wheels. Nitto NT-01s forthcoming for them but here's a test fit. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/white%20car/DF0E64E3-4D98-4897-B035-F93B2E890858_zpscoh2b2gf.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/white%20car/2299B327-9E68-4E84-923A-F2B08D8DD961_zpsanzmrar0.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/white%20car/06AACC8B-FF6D-4CBE-A910-8A87A8DD9440_zpssvsww6j8.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/white%20car/90E4DB74-2CB1-45FF-849A-CDB8C084AAA0_zps5txulxtb.jpg
  8. Here are a couple of pics taken at Cars and Coffee courtesy of Mchugh Photography http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/white%20car/IMG_0015_zps32as3k4f.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/white%20car/IMG_0014_zpsdhwc9pb6.jpg
  9. Haven't been working on the car. Winter laziness combined with that it looks so nice out there have kept me from messing with it up to this point. I have been ordering parts for it. I have both sets of new track wheels on order and got some junk slicks I'll use to mock up and set ride height. I finally got the helmet I ordered last August! One of the big draws to this helmet is the integrated headset since I use one instructing so much. I'm still working out which communicator I'm going to use with it as my old one isn't compatable. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/white%20car/IMG_0001_zpsnfa9vdwf.jpg I took the car out to cars and coffee last weekend and was able to get about 75 miles on it over Presidents' Day weekend which was certainly nice for Feb. I've started getting some of the photos from the photo shoot my friend did. He used a mix of actual film over a few cameras and some digital. Here are the ones I like so far. Last one is my favorite. http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/white%20car/IMG_0004_zpsd2gi7vet.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/white%20car/IMG_0006_zpsjuttz4sp.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/white%20car/IMG_0010_zpsh2o0anud.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/white%20car/IMG_0009_zpsbrlqi95y.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/white%20car/IMG_0011_zpsot5gafqu.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/white%20car/IMG_0008_zpsynxlmnbr.jpg http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z56/kutschca/white%20car/IMG_0003_zpskx0mj0ta.jpg
  10. Helmet is most definitely for protecting your head from hitting hard things in the car (even non-cage cars) and not from loose crap. Many accidents are strong enough that your head will contact the door frame, roof, or B pillar if you have one. Eye protection is always a good idea but hard to reinforce. I've been caught with stuff coming in the car during normal driving while my visor was up. You'd be surprised how much tire slag comes off of car with sticky rubber.
  11. See if you can get a copy of the PCA materials for instructor training. I used to have physical copies but there might be electronic ones out there. Also read Ross Bentley's instructor manifesto. Those will get you started in the correct direction.
  12. With whom? If you get the chance to do the PCA national instructor school it's very good, and helps prepare for difficult students.
  13. Go look up current e30 M3 values if you want a surprise.
  14. Take Sancus South to Park and then go East on Park back toward Flint. It'll be on your left side.
  15. Wasn't IPS a national shop for those cars once? Perhaps see if Jeff/Turbotrio is on here still and would have any leads. There has to be a forum dedicated to them, so also check there. Rx7club is where I get most FD parts that are no longer available.
  16. ^^fully agree. There are some great looking vintage Ferraris. I tend to like either very angular car or flowing bubbly designs. Some great ones have been posted here like the Jag e-type. I also believe the MKIV Supra and FD rx7 are successors to that design style. I'm still happy every time I look in the garage and think the FD styling has held up amazing over the years. Here are a couple of others I haven't seen mentioned. 17. Bought the new cup car and got to play a little with it. Maybe it's my setup but it seems a bit finicky on the brakes. One time great, another time similar pressure locks the rears. I'll maybe play with bias. Anyone interested in running a cup car race at Mid Ohio, Watkins Glen, or VIR?
  18. I run the Mustabg FR500 a lot because it's closest in speed to my real track car. It's also a good mix of a faster more fun car without being crazy fast like the CTS-V or Holden race cars. Unfortunately its not one of the basic package cars so perhaps one of those would make more sense. I was hoping the new Porsches would have come out by now. If they come out with a 911 cup car I'll likely buy that next. Even better would be a GT4 Club Sport.
  19. I looked it up and it seems pretty easy to host a race on iRacing just costs $3 a pop. If we have enough interest I'll set one up and we can try it out.
  20. Ordered a Medium. I think it'll be great for working under the car. Cool idea by your friend.
  21. He is! LOL. Unfortunately I won't pass either after knowing some of the cars that got busted for sound last year. It's a bummer.
  22. Grant, I'll sell you my Driving Force GT for $80 if you'd like a cheap wheel/pedal setup to get you started.
