Well im interested to see what the members here like to ride. Me i like mostly twisty riding,trackdays,deals gap etc. Not a light to light person but will to ride with friends.. I ride to work alot and thats about as straight as it gets for me but on ocassion ill hit a off ramp to drag the knee...(Yea i know its a squid thing). Anyhow just wanted to see what others do.... Not many good roads out by me.I normally head down south to 664 ,78,377 etc.I try to ride twistys mainly..It normally a full day..I may go out earlier if im up that way around 1 ill stop by...Thanks

Where do you guys ride.Around town.Southern ohio..Just curious..Maybe up for some riding.

Just got back from seeing it..Really good movie..I to may go see it again..Will definitely own it on blue-ray when it comes out.

Not to side track the thread but it appears to me that big chicks like Kaw..So if you ride another brand i think your safe..

Well actually sportbikes are pretty bullet proof..... If it was me i would be honest..In a nice way..1st its not really safe..2nd if shes not n-sync with you on the bike well over you go.. Be like Honey (use honey and be polite) i would love to give you a ride but with us on the bike together it would just be unsafe..I would just be honest and in a very nice way..Yea it may hurt her feelings but you took the gentleman's way out..And you didnt call her overweight in front of everyone.

Oh i thought you where wanting to do some mods..One reason i have the DRZ is because my clock was ticking on the GSXR's...With all the work i done to those i rode them like i raced them.Track and street. I would have been crushed if i would have crashed one of them. By the way just how old are you?

Hmmmm..Well mine hits triple speeds with 16/44 and 16/38... However i also did the following... 450 Big Bore 1mm oversized valves with springs Ported cylinder Matched case and rebalanced crank 41mm radial flatside carb. Hotcams STAGE2 EX/IN Trailtech 10oz lighter flywheel Full Yosh Ti system KN filter Hell i know i forgot somethings...LOL Also gave it a GOOD diet... 1st what you need to do is ask yourself what you want to spend.I can help you on prices.. If you want to spend little do a (GOOD) 3x3 mod Dyno jet kit Kn (Better) 39mm FCR-MX 3x3 KN Full yosh TI NOT SS (BEST) CALL >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>LOL Hope this helps Oh got some new graphics for it so i guess im done for now

It's all good, actually I've been to C-bus a few times but don't think I ever had the chance to meet ya. I'm pretty sure one of the guys I ride with on the east side of Clev. did or was going to buy some parts from you at one time (John....aka Turbo810 on gixxer.com). But I followed your builds closely and was always simply impressed with your workmanship, skills, and of course choice of some nice pieces of hardware for your upgrades. You helped a lot of people out over there. Hopefully I'll get down there for a meet soon. A bunch of us are looking to head to C-bus to hit up some roads there like the triple nickle and such. KC Yea wasnt turbo the guy that came down and bought some new wheels of me?I still have some clients here with sport bikes that i still do work for.Slowed down some due to the new house but still like working on them..Who know i may someday have another.Remember chuck from gixxer.com..He was 70 and still rode a 1000...

Only fair to welcome you as you did me....That 1000 is by far the best looking for 2007.So whats the plan for it.You need to come down and do some riding down south sometime.. Take care Eagle.

I agree it wouldnt do much but have seen these switches fail in a way where they make enough contact to make the machine cut out due to heat .Thats why i felt he should still check them.It would be great if he could do a ohms value on them.Im no expert but have worked on GSXRs since 87 seen alot of things...

Ahh staying out of trouble...Well i have had to hide a few times thats all i will say..LOL..

Well 1st there are several GREAT SM machines out there. But i want to ride and not be doing maintance.... I really could haves bought any SM out there but i choose the DRZ. 1 because i like suzuki.And 2 reliability.. I will tell you unless you are willing to build the DRZ you may not be happy with it stock.And if you like going a 180mph you may want to consider something else.However if you want to give a run for there money, take them to the twistys..Anyhow There are awesome packages out there ,choose on what you want cause no matter it only as fast as you turn the throttle. Anyhow i love mine and its AWESOME with the mods.Still have a few things to do but i smile ever time i ride.So to wrap up here the POWER is awesome and hold its own well...Hope this helps answer your question.

Thanks everyone for the welcome...Crusher havent been on gixxer in a long time but still work on them for clients..Man im trying to remember ya..Know they name but forget the face (it comes with OLD AGE....LOl)Glad to see you all are doing good aswell.

If you could i would check them yourself before taking it in if you are equip..How many mile ya have on it.On the norm if its maintained you should be within spec if it isnt high miles..Just a idea to save a few bucks. Good Luck.

Names Rod...Was turned on to this site from charles .Seen him at bike night. Alittle about me...Well been riding since 1982..Raced Mx for 10years..Drag raced for 2 (in the 80s)lol..My last ventures where building of 3 GSXR1000s a 2001,2003.2005.They where simply awesome machines and it was just love trackdaying them but just no fun on the street.So i sold them.Now i have built a DRZ400 which is now a 453SM.GREAT FUN on anything that bends.. I love to ride the twistys and anything with a curve in it..I wear full gear no matter what and im a proud member of CORE..Which im sure some of you are members there to.Hope to ride with some of ya some time but untill that time..BE SAFE. and watch the cagers..
