  1. it would be cool if someone in columbus had some garage space and could house one of these, then we could just bring our used oil to the can and CS can pick it up when its full. preferably a central location
  2. i was expecting a little baby with a british accent... boy was i relieved.
  3. i did this this summer on the same bike and posted a little tutorial on it.... http://www.ohio-riders.net/showthread.php?t=16363 as for suggestions, i would take off the brights HID light as HIDs dont like rapid flicking on and off, plus you could make some extra $$ by selling half the kit and picking up a silverstar headlight if you really want the look instead of the practicality.
  4. interesting color choices, but the two tone powdercoating is bad ass.
  5. no point really, when i get back ill have a lot more money to buy a newer bike. but this thread isnt about my personal finances, so back to the show...
  6. FS $5000 obo, 2004 yamaha R6 red/black 12xxx miles. im selling this bike because my army reserve unit is getting shipped to iraq. mods and defects are listed below. Mods: -BMC race filter -Yoshimura tri-oval slip-on exhaust -integrated tail-turn signals -turn signal/fender delete as for a little backstory, i bought this bike last may in new hampshire during an internship i was doing out there. trailered it back to ohio in june and rode it all summer. has gotten regular oil changes with mobil 1 racing 4T motorcycle oil, as well as regular application of chain lube every 300-500 miles. im the third owner, and the guy who i bought it from got it from a dealer and had it serviced there on the regularly scheduled intervals because he didnt know how to do anything himself. when he bought it it had around 5000 miles and he sold it to me with 8000 miles. the last owner put a fresh set of tires on shortly before selling it, and i have put a new rear on due to an unfortunate metal shard in the last rear. the bike has never been down while i was riding it, though it has been tipped over a couple of times. i dont have pictures of the damage, but i can tell you, it is minimal. a couple of fairings have scratches no larger than a nickel, and there is a dent in the tank, but it is rather shallow and the paint is still intact. it was covered when some vandals tipped the bike over unfortunately. it also had frame sliders that protected a lot of the fairings from any damage. they broke a mirror and bent a handlebar, both items have been replaced. one of the rearsets also has a small chunk broke off the tip of the peg, although it hasnt impaired my riding enough to fix it, as it was maybe 1cm that broke off. if you have any other questions about the bike feel free to email me. this is not a perfect bike by any means, but its still in very good condition regardless of the damage it has sustained.
  7. i have a feeling it was someone who recently purchased an r6...or maybe just shittygsxr, hes always a fanboi
  8. its 40 US sizing. this would be a 50 in euro sizing, for all those euro bikers who dont like converting. well that and im not short and squatty like a certain yota i know
  9. it would fit you well, with some room for a back pad underneath. i always had a little extra length when i wore it and im 6'0". make an offer.
  10. so does this mean youre going to the sandbox with us?
  11. if youre doing the national guard just for money the air force is the way to go. deployments are much shorter normally and its always a better place (read: normally not the front lines). i know probably 4 or 5 people right now down at rickenbacker and they have a ton of AFNG stuff going on there, not sure exactly what jobs but i know at least one is security forces if youre into that. security forces also can get slots for airborne school from the army sometimes. tell them you wont enlist until you get what you want. personally i dont like MPs much cause all they do is screw everyone else in the military, but hey, a lot of people are dumbasses and deserve to get busted, so if you have a superiority complex then by all means... MP basic training though in the army is different than normal because they have an OSUT, one station unit training or whatever it is. you would be at fort leonard wood for all 18 or however many weeks it is.
  12. pandora wont play in canadia
  13. asking $55 obo for a set of motovation frame sliders for the older R6 or newer R6s. these ones require cutting on the right hand side and the left slider has taken a hit, but it wasnt while the bike was moving so there is very little damage to the puck. motovation page for these sliders
  14. fieldsheer 1 piece, mostly perforated leather, rather breezy at speeds. im going to iraq so dont need it so much. it would let in too much sand im 6'0", 145lbs and it fits me pretty snug, with a small amount of space around the chest and ample length on arms and legs (with boots on) $350 obo shipped or local pickup.
  15. so how much do you want for the "broken" one?
  16. i would wipe it and hope something got screwed up with your software somewhere along the line and try not to do it again. if it persists after a windows wipe, well lets just hope that doesnt happen.
  17. right, WE were the only two. i was going to leave you out of this one until you said something, thought your feelings might be hurt.
  18. do you have a cd key? i could possibly help you in locating a cd to install from, completely legally and in no way violating any copyright laws. dont arrest me please. yes the 81 deg is normal operating range, but the 100% proc usage is not normal.
  19. that whore! she said i was the only one
  20. well thats 81 deg celcius, the temps its giving you are in fahrenheit. HDD is your hard drive, and thats fine, the core1 is your processor. and temp1 is some other sensor. whatever process is open shouldnt be consuming that much processing power. i had a bug on my comp like that once with my desktop and a good clean install of windows fixed it right up. this was after i system restored the thing many times in hope that i could catch where the computer caught something. i never found out why it was doing that crap, or if i did, AVG couldnt get rid of it or w/e. ifwy, id say fuck it and reinstall windows just because i would be sick of wasting time trying to find something wrong. usually my laptop idles at 50-60 deg C, but 81 is not unheard of when using some juice from the processor.
