Our BMW Oil actually lasts up to 18,000 miles depending on driving conditions.. Most of our company cars get the oil changed at 15,000 miles

I tried -1/+2 and it was wayyyyyyy too much! 7000 rpm at 60 mph. Right now I have +2 on the back and it seems to be a perfect mix of street/track rideability... I forget what chain I have, but there were only 2 to choose from anyhow for our bikes and it takes 3-5 days to order bc none of these cbus dealerships have it in stock As far as the tires.. I looked into the 2CT's, but ended up with the Dunlop's again because they have never let me down(litteraly!)

They didn't switch.. Labor day is still reckonized and paid as a Holiday. I was pissed at first, but when I realized that they still honor Labor day, I don't think anything really changed at the plant except the workers don't have to call off on there own holiday.

What makes me soo mad about the whole situation is the fact that I work for BMW Motorrad North America.. I do the same job that the Kaw ppl are suppose to be doing for me. I can decide if BMW should buy back a bike or just provide compensation for time down.. That's why it blows my mind that Kaw has done NOTHING for me or the dealer to help us out.

I am 11 months into Litigation on a buy back for this bike. My lawyer did a great job putting together a case for me, but unfortunatly Ohio is a 1 1/2 backed up on the legal system. My court date isn't until April '09, and that was set last October '07...

I bought it at Motorsports of Columbus.. It's not the dealers fault with this particular bike though. MS and myself were in contact with Kawasaki Relations last year and couldn't get any support. They said they didn't have a Regional Engineer available to send out and look at my bike. Between the transmission issues that I have and the other little things like the throttle, shifter, and rear set, this bike is a lemon. I'm not saying Kaw's are bad! I love Kaw's.. Just not this one and the experience that I've had. After racing Honda for over 10 years, and a factory Yahama for 1 year, I'm just ready to try another brand.. I'm really becoming fond of the look of the new REPSOL. Havn't got to ride it yet, but it def at the top of the options list right now..

I'll tell ya what, this bike has been the biggest pain in my butt since the day I bought it.. If I ever get it bought back I might go back to my roots and Ride Red. I've never owned a Honda street bike, but the factory and manufacturer support that I recieved from Honda when racing was top notch compared to Kaw..

Def gonna check the oil.. Is there a specific mileage that Kaw suggests to get the valves adjusted though?

Oil was changed last September and the bike sat in the shop from sept to may this year. So maybe 4 months total on the oil

:confused:Anyone know when you typically need to take your new bike in for a valve adjustment? Mine has been tapping since the first day I bought it and Ive been told that with the Kawaskis it is normal. After this weekend the tapping has become really loud, and I have a bad feeling about it, especially since an 07 stock zx10 made 6 horsepower more on the dyno saturday night! (And NO I did not participate in any high revving stupidy at all this wknd)... Any thoughts? I'm 30 days out of warranty, and still trying to get it bought back for the transmission issues!

Didn't anyone get the Jack Daniels girls?! Damn, all 4 of them were just as nice as the Duc girls if not better! My phone died so I couldn't call to meet up with any of you guys.. Campgrounds were crazy ass fun as usual!

I mean for the time and effort that it takes you to order the tires and then get installed, just call Yota or take it to Iron Pony...Saving $15 is not worth the hassel
