  1. Thanks Tyler, that's a good ballpark. I located my bro and he will bring his tester by to give it a go.
  2. If it were a clogged jet, wouldn't it fire on a direct ether injection? When I pulled the carb off, there was fuel on the cylinder side of the carb.
  3. Yeah, makes sense. My bro has a gauge to check that. Any idea what the comp. should be?
  4. I have KTM 50 Adventure senior. 2 stroke mini mx bike. Bike ran when I parked it. Now it won't start. Getting fuel, getting spark.Won't even fire on ether. Little bastard is just dead. Compression seems fine, not tested. Pull the plug and kick it, I see spark against the head. I even shot ether directly in the cylinder and replaced the plug...not a hint of fire... I'm baffled... What gives? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  5. I'll definitely do some events. Hopefully this year. I'll spend a little time on the bike then whip it out. I just ordered a new rear tire , hopefully once I get that mounted I'll be ready. I bought the bike without riding it, and still haven't. Can't wait though. I've wanted to get into trials for 20 years and finally took the plunge.
  6. Thanks for the replies. I did bicycle trials for a few years, anxious to see how that relates to the vintage bike I bought. Problem is I live in a city setting with no where to ride. I will definitely do some events, but need to at least ride the bike a little. I have a friend with some property who said I can take it there, but it remains to be seen if he will allow me to make some trials type obstacles.
  7. I just picked up a vintage trials bike at Mid Ohio VMD. Does anyone know, is there anywhere around here that has any trials type places to ride/practice?
  8. I am pretty easy to spot at the track, and I don't know any of you guys by sight. Please come up and introduce yourself, I'd like to meet some of you cats.
  9. Signed up for Intermediate. I'll be the slow guy on the Buell.Flip me off as you pass me on the back straight. I'll know it's you.
  10. Best of luck to you, and a hope for a speedy recovery. I was on the track behind you when it happened.I didn't see it, I was probably about at the kink when the accident occurred. I did see the plume of dust like a mushroom cloud though. Frightening.
  11. Thanks all. I bought the TrackMaster app. I'll see how that works.
  12. Anyone know of an app for my Droid phone that would keep lap times for me?
  13. Signed up tor the 6th. Intermediate on a Buell XB.
  14. Thanks. The HF bead breaker is in my sights. Since I'll be doing it in the garage, I think I can rig something with wood blocks to protect the rotors. The dyna beads look interesting. Do they move around in the tire? DO they re distribute themselves at every stop? Can you hear or feel them moving around?
  15. I am considering getting a bead breaker and changing tires myself. Any tips or pitfalls I should avoid> Also, how about balancing? Is it necessary? If so, how to do it at home? Thanks in advance.
