I saw a flyer for the NMRA event that I thought said this fri,sat, and sun. Does anyone know for sure that friday nite street fights are going on this week. If they are count me in. I haven't been on a drag strip for at least 2 years.

I'm only stating facts I've seen in my personal experince.I've seen a ratio of 10 to 1 harleys verse every thing else combined broke down on the side of the road.Lets face it basicly what you have is a 1200 sportster. Your right you never would ride with me. After about 10 secs. of listening to your slug of a motorcycle i would get tired of listening to it miss, give mine a little more gas and watch yours dissappear in my mirrors.

If you don't belive J.D. power I'm up for a real world challlenge. Lets ride to the flordia keys the weekend after next. I have an old GSXR with 30,000 miles on it. Lets get together and ride down there if your brand new Buell will make it that far.

There is nothing sketchy going on at all.I never expected to get this many responses. I figured this ride would end up being a race between my friends and a group of guys from this site.I guess I was wrong.I still plan on keeping this a fast paced ride but it will have to be slower than my normal speed thruogh this area. There will only be one group that will wait for the rest of the group at all stop signs,stop lights and confusing intersections.Sorry if this disappoints anybody but with the amount of riders going this is the best way to insure everyone has fun.I'm still up for a good race if one of those "fast" guys is upset by my posts, and I'll be on my slower and older bike for this ride.

By my count we have 11 confirmed if any one else is planning on going let me know. If we are going to have a large turn out then i will have to start getting every thing ready alot sooner. With a small group i can make it up as we go.

there is plenty of good drag racing in columbus. you can legally race at natioal trails. A group of guys meet up at taco bell to do some street racing. Most of them are pretty cool you just have watch out for the ones that like to try and hustle the new guys. If your interrested let me know i could help you find the drag racing groups. i'd might be up for a little suzuki vs. honda race!

some of us might be hiding from the mafia. if the insult that brought on this thread was about me and used my real name like that one did i would have been pissed.the italian mafia is still a little pissed at me for not throwing a fight back in the early nineties so i still have to watch my back.

what about direct personal insults? what about using a persons real idenity in this forum?

in reality all modern sport bike have the ability to go fast it is the rider that decides how fast the bike is.

the whole point of wording the invite in that manner was to avoid having alot of people showing up that would slow down the rest of the group.This ride was ment to help find more poeple ride with that are worth the time to go on a ride with. And also to embarass a certain group of people in columbus that are always talking aout how fast they are and racing people one their brand new liter bikes.

the route is not set in stone only the area we will be in is set. if we can get a few more people to show up maybe we could let xb12s lead the slow group.thanks alot fireman343 i was even going to pay you a complment but instead go fuck yourself.

I wear my helmet all the time, I can't imagine not wearing one. I use the helmet not only to protect my head during a crash but also as a tool to help avoid a crash. A full face helmet acts as a small windsheild to keep the wind out of your eyes and to reduce wind noise. Any rider that can focus better on the road and hear what is going on around them is going to be much safer and much faster rider. Lets just say i use the helmet to protect my head and just a little extra insurance to help keep road rash off my bike.

I am organizing a ride from columbus to southeastern ohio on sept. 2.We will probably make it to marrieta before turning around and heading back towards columbus. This ride is open to everyone and all types of motorcycles.Now with that said, the reason for this ride is to call out all of the new riders in town that bought a liter bike and like to go around braging about how fast they are.Hey ousley99 consider this your personal invitation! This will be a fast paced ride through some very good roads. Roads that any true motorcyclist would enjoy.We will used 2 different meeting spots to help avoid all of the waiting around that usually happens at an ohio riders meeting point. The first meeting pointwill be at the iron pony at 9:45am we will leave iron pony at 10:00am and go on a short warm up ride to the second meeting point. The second meeting point will be at the sonoco at rte. 310 and I-70 out by pataskla. We will meet there at 10:30am and leave there at 10:45am. I don't know when we will be back that will depend on the number of riders and there skill level.Let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to go.
