Those guys need to get some MX riding in so they have better skills on those things... I love when guys make videos and they are not really suited to be showing off... I think it looked fun and all, but the only issue I had was the sidewalk riding. Passing a bus that was stopped unloading people... Pretty fucking stupid. And we bust on the Junkies for what they do and it looks that these previous touring bike owners are doing some pretty lame, ill thought out stuff...

Just a note - Novice group isn't for track sighting and learning the track. I would NEVER allow you to pull that off. I'd let you run I group and learn in that and bump up the next day. In all honesty, I never knew why guys don't ride what group they are ability level set at. You can learn a new track easier in the group you typically ride in than getting used to it by end of day in a lower group and then being held up or riding above the level that you are in. Next time, just ride A and take it slow. Once you are up to speed, you'll be fine.

Who's tractor is that? How the hell do they pull it off being private coach? There's no way... That's a full on semi truck w/o a single living quarter in it! Cool, though...

Got a mower attachment for that thing?

Niiiiiiice.

Uh, you know the bike Haga rode was a previous generation, right? Spies was on an all new machine...

Good bikes. Was just giving you shit... It's just now, they are making a bike that is capable of great things against the mighty Big 4. They now can compete with Ducati on a more level field and to Italians, that means a lot. A lot of attention was given to Spies this year on a new bike winning a championship against the established OEMs. Nobody really saw Biaggi doing what he was doing and thought about it. To me, he had a tougher climb and a tougher challenege in taking that bike to the podium. Yamaha is a company that one expects them to do well right out of the box. Any of the Big 4 really. Well, maybe not Kawasaki... But, Aprillia to do so well with a new bike was pretty damn impressive. I really looked at the BMW and Aprillia. I expected the results from Yamaha... BMW fell short. Way short in my mind. Aprillia did exceptionally well.

2009 Chumba Mountain Bike. Frame or complete...
Moto-Brian replied to Moto-Brian's topic in Other Stuff
Dude, a guy on here is selling a WAY older Rocky Mountain with less capable parts for about $300 shy of what I am asking for this... But, yes... will blow you... -
You mean they do now...

Well, owning one is out... I've got a LOT of seat time on a 996 street, 1098S at the track... Do I get to join the club now? Plus, my GSXR is actually an Italian made version. The Gixxeroli 1000 Presto

You aren't going to find any deals on these right now. They are brand new, are well anticipated and typically, an existing Aprillia dealer has them sold to people with deposits... The prices are legit and seriously is going to pull the Ducati fans away. I think these aren't going to be sitting on floors...

That's all I gotta do to get one on the track? That's easy. Pre-order mine under "Lenny"!

I'm gonna work him, alright... Just think Corey may have other plans! Would love to get one on the track, though.

Ok, I have a deal on a new Mtn bike that i am wanting to entertain. Seeing if there's any interest in the following: 2009 Specialized P1. TWO SET UPS - YOU CHOOSE WHAT YOU WANT.... Version #1 - $450 FIRM: -2009 P1 stock with DJ3 fork -Diety Cranks (white) -BB5s -Stock front rim and spokes -Rhynolite rear rim with heavy duty spokes -Chain adjusters -Green ODI grips (See Version #2 pics) -Stock everything else. Version #2 - $800 OBO: -2009 P1 with DJ3 -Diety Crank set -Juicy 5s front and rear -Atom lab Pimplites White with black spokes, red nipples and Pimplite hubs -Chain Adjusters -Green 1/2 link chain -Green ODI grips Wanted to use this at Ray's this year, but a new Mtn bike has me thinking I can rent for the few times I will actually ride it up there. Since it is the indoor season fast approaching, figured now was a good time to sell. The 2010 only received new graphics as the 2009 had the new chassis design. Condition is a 9.5 out of 10... I can provide detailed pics of up close areas you ask for... Pics: VERSION #1: VERSION #2: Also a note - The Atomlab wheelset is BRAND NEW and has never been ridden on. The most they have been used was a quick ride to make sure everything worked... NEW!!! You'd pay $425 for a custom set built by them. Add in the crankset and brakes and I think the price is MORE than fair. If you buy it under Version #2, I will give the stock front rim laced to the P hub and the rear Rhynolite laced to the P hub with rotors... The only thing you won't get is the brakes as I can use them on another bike... You'd get the stock chain, too... The P rear hub is a converted SS meaning it can be transformed into a geared rear like used on the P2. The Atomlab wheels are single speed with freewheel... Here's pics of the rear rim set... Front rim: Front hub: Rear rim: Rear hub:

Lock 'er down. Goner...

When should I book a day to "test" it at the track?

I saw a horror movie in my rear view mirror today

Too much car??? Sounds like he would have done the same thing in a Prius. He misjudged and went off the road and struck a guard rail first. Probably did the dumbass Driver's Ed look over your shoulder as you get ready to merge... God forbid they use mirrors... -
PM me the kid's name and where he lives. Most likely, I know who he is or know a guy who knows him... I have a buddy that worked in Honda's R&D motorcycle division and might know him if I don't...

First, if indeed it was actually a "factory race bike", it would have an MSO and the frame most likely would have some strange VIN# attached to it that would be outside the norm. Second, if it indeed had a Japan built SS spec motor in it, good luck getting parts for it. It's uber cool to have a factory built race bike... Right until it breaks and you are trying to search for a set type of internal part that has no official relationship to a CBR600 in that year... Know what I mean? Finally, for $2800, I doubt it was factory with Showa components, HRC engine parts, etc. Plus, Honda would go further than a port job. Hell, the ZX6R from the factory on the assembly line has a port job now... If they trimed it to under 320 pounds, why would they only port the motor? That's illegal for SS racing...Well, unless it is from the factory. Not allowed to do that according to rules back then. I'd probably guess it might have been somehow involved with HRC, but doubt it was very special. I'd get solid facts first. Hell, who knows? It could be and the guy just wants it gone...

I'm gonna send him cash in an envelope. I trust him. Well, I have it under good word that he's a trust worthy fellow...

These wheels also fit the 04-05 600/750s... Except the rotors...

Any opinions on the Sig P250?
-
I do know that... I am thinking the XD 9mm 3" for this. Now that I think about it and the reference to the paddle holster, it might feel better hidden. Give me a call tomorrow or Monday (If wife isn't around - I can't talk pistols and this topic around her or she'll pop a gasket)...
-
Getting my CCW thingy and wanted to get opinions on what is a good choice firearm for carry/conceal... I have an XD.45 for the car and wanted something on person. The thing is that I REALLY like the XD 3" 9mm, but it is a tad bulky to conceal. Any opinions? I hate purse feeling pistols...

Setup may not be completely shared, but there's a LOT of shared info within the pits. Who runs what, chassis set ups can be seen easily, etc. Unlike MotoGP where they have walls within even teams, WERA and even AMA privateers have a lot of shared info... Even if kept secret, it is easy to tell changes and such... Plus, if one guy doesn't share, there will be some that do. The idea is that if 100 racers are at the track and 60 have Pirelli, 30 have Michelin and 7 have Dunlop, that's not many with BStone. Plus, if out of those 7 there are only 1-2 with the same bike as you and ride at about the same pace as you, there's a high chance you MIGHT not get as good feedback as if you ran the top two tire brands...
