  1. It's free to get in as a spectator, I believe. You can say you are with one of your buddies and just there to help or in case of an emergency and they ought to let you go. Lunch time is usually for two up if anything. I don't ever recall us allowing prospects out. Novice class is so easy to get your bike ready for that it is simply more an issue of getting signed up... I suggest coming up to see what it is all about. You can go anywhere for the most part and really enjoy the bikes...
  2. Car guys are funny to watch. They all get side by side and then brake to go single file into the turns... If I did a car event, I'd buy an old 944 and rub others going deep into the turns... Some great cars are usually seen there during the events. The last cool one I saw was the guy with the DB9. Absolutley a great sounding car. By the way, just to one up ya, we get to do the full driving school next Monday after the STT event.
  3. Alessi is lucky to even be riding. His fitness level is so low due to that horrific outdoor crash. People are amazed he is even able to ride at all... He blasts off and then fades really bad... Stewart put the nails in the coffin this weekend. Reed won't be able to catch back up. Giving James 3 points this late is like giving him 30 with one to go... It's all Stewart...
  4. I love people that bitch about spelling. They obviously don't use Blackberries or iPhones, they probably only post a handful of responses and when they do bitch, they typically make mistakes, too. Oh, well... I's gots bettur things ta do anywayz... My $.02? If you understand what they typed on the internet, it is 100% accepted.
  5. Don't know, man, but saw you around QS&L Saturday after Pony and my son really likes the current scheme. It's pretty bad ass and definately not like everyone else out there...
  6. So, what is the CRF going to be doing? Want to sell the chasis with the wheels and such?
  7. We do it on a dyno or at the track, but essentially, just as you stated. I said +/- 200 miles to make him feel better...
  8. Race bikes aren't torn down after every race unless it is a superbike or FX build... Break in is simple. Ride it with 200+/- miles and the traditional oil that whatever recommends. Don't hit redline and don't over rev. But, load it and un load it with lugging it in top gear and vary the revs and load... You get the idea. Vary speeds... Anyways, once you got 200+/- miles under her, drain the oil and change the filter. With fresh oil, she's ready to rip. We've done it that way for years and never had a single engine failure... Knock on wood. But, if you do it as the manuall states, understand they list it pretty safe. In other words, they cover their asses and make sure that if you did follow the rules (Always say you did) then the motor will be fine. These guys that think it takes 500-1500 miles or whatever to break it in are insane... Do what you feel is right, but don't let people say the "way the racers do it is fine if you tear your motor down every weekend..." Riiiiight.
  9. Yeah, but Jennings sucks compared to Mid-Ohio. Then, you drive at least 3000 miles which is about 6 tanks of fuel and if in a truck, that's about $400 for fuel... If you drive to Mid-Ohio and drive 3 hours, you'd save more and spend actually less. You afraid to ride Mid-Ohio?? I only ever hear everyone who never ride it complain about the cost and yet they'd drive to what? FLORIDA?!?!? Instead?!?!?
  10. Just a suggestion as I know that the 100 motors can produce some serious exhaust heat... You should have had the outlet exit the side instead of directly onto the rear tire... Other than that.. Cool and great job. What happened to the XR/CRF100??
  11. Are you talking about DMC (Dayton Motorcycle Club)? It's an MX track near Dayton. There's also Dirt Country, too...
  12. Reuben from 35 Motorsports will be riding the Team Velocity endurance bike, as well. Actually TVR II, I think. He might be helping sort the new R1 out, too, but not sure... There's going to be some serious top riders there since it is a National WERA cross over. Guys like Robert Jensen, Tray Batey, John Jacobi, Taylor Knapp, etc... and a slew of up and coming riders... Give ya an idea how stacked the expert groups are - in the last few Nationals, the top 5-9 guys are finishing so close, Sean at WERA was worried the scoring system couldn't keep up. Start to finish, right on top of each other... Want close and fast racing? WERA Nationals. These guys should be running AMA stuff, but make WAY better contingency and money overall than riding AMA. Guys like Robert Jensen are top 5 AMA finishing riders but choose to run WERA Nationals... Who knows? I might even run the Regional sprints down there... hmmmmm.
  13. I was told everything opens at 9 and the food gets served at noon with giveaways every 15 minutes...
  14. A lot of people mistake it for a 600. It's actually a Bandit...
  15. There's a high performance machine shown in this pic. It should be respected greatly...
  16. I'm tellin ya... Those XBs are high performance, race bred machines... You gots to have skilz to run em fast... Not for the novice driver.:D
  17. Nice third grade blow off... Really. The engine builder comment was sarcasm. My pointing out you're an idiot isn't. The month long drama has included several trips but in about a week's time, he sat down with Aaron (I somewhat recommended him to do so) and has gone from office visit to tear down and inspection rather quickly for a busy shop. See, IF you were an engine builder or worked at a busy shop, you'd know that this time of year is VERY slammed for shops. You'd also know the length of time and labor involved in getting this done. BUT, as you so eloquently put it - you're not an engine builder... So, I understand now. Thanks.
  18. If you have a Bill of Sale, I'd try and find the guy. Honestly, if he forged the name and signature, it could easily be taken away if the guy says he never sold it to you, etc... Take it to a towing service or a mechanic that you know and put a Mechanic's Lean on it. It will take something like 60 days, but... The price is way too high, also...
  19. No... You were saying it like it was scary and something most people can't handle. There's three tracks like you stated, but only two for the big bikes... I guess I read "A", "B", and "C" as rider levels and not descriptions... The Main track is all A, B, and C.... I mis read. Sorry. By the way, nice pussy rep comment...
  20. I think since the front is toast, she needs forks...
  21. That triple at the bottom of that hill? I guess he cased it, looked like he was in pain as he tried to get up. Workers were slowing guys down and my buddy came up on him looking like his shoulder was all jacked up and his head slumped and he fell over. Died right there...
  22. Street motors get so much gunk that you'd be amazed... Ask any performance engine builder and they'll tell you. Guys who bring in race bikes to have motors built with street miles typically have to be cleaned thoroughly as the valves get shitty from street use... Looks fairly typical...
  23. I get pissed when know it alls chime in and say shit like it should be done by now. Seriously, they are probably like any other shop and are over a week out on scheduling. The people they have on right now that are due to get their bikes and came in BEFORE the OP, need to be taken care of. He got in pretty quick in my opinion for such a deeply involved job. But what do i know, right? You're the "engine builder"....
