Personally, I MAY have a couple of guns in the house, but in truth, you enter my house, I have a really nice 30" aluminum baseball bat that will totally be willing to greet you in the darkness... I think it would be MUCH more effective than a gun. But then again, my laser in the dark may cause you to rethink your unauthorized entry... I just find these types of things funny as some people blame whomever the president is but do not realize these things have been issues for as long as it has been the right of us Americans to maintain arms. Blame the Obama guy or just wait until a doucher like Romney gets in. Whatever the case, nobody will EVER be happy with whomever the president is. That's just fact. But, to blame the president for these silly and stupid issues is as silly and stupid... Rant over...

Wanna see a different routine than the norm, check out the way Edwards trains... Personally, I am screwed. I am 6'1" and 195 lbs. I'm not fat, not over weight, have muscle tone as I am not going to diet and get all boney to fit into a weight for racing. Never have. I've been 190-195 lbs since college and just maintain. I will say this - muscle building isn't the way to go. You need to endurance train. I Mountain Bike as much as possible, run once in a while when I can and mostly, cross train on a dirty bike just doing laps. Not MX and SX jumping and nothing like single track woods crap. I just makes loos in the woods and try and work on loose riding so I can be better prepped when things get loose on the track. I just keep active, drink water instead of soda and try and eat at least within a healthy realm. I could shed probably 10 - 15lbs and be good to go, but I don't have the time with work, kids and racing to fit it in... Cardio is great training that is essentially what I mean by endurance training, but one thing that bothers me the most is my shoulders. They tire rather fast due to the injuries they have taken. But, the only way to really help that is surgery and I am avoiding that like the plague. I'd get more away from the weights and work on flexibility and cardio. Look at the top racers. They are not muscular at all. Very thin, but very healthy and the primary focus is endurance and cardio. They strength train also, but not to build muscle. In their world, muscle is extra bad because it weighs more...

Yeah, the day sucked... It started with me running out of gas in the first practice. That was fun, but the corner worker was BAD ASS for getting me a water... The brakes were a big deal, man. In race two, it was just survive mode and get it sorted for the hopes of a good race 3... I still got a pretty decent lap time in race 2, but the idea was that I think I had something for Jeff as my first recorded lap in the race I crashed was a :12.8. I of course, only got one lap... But, I think the bike was stronger than before, I was feeling better about a few things and in the end, had I kept my freakin head and not have gotten antsy, maybe it would have been a stellar day. Would've, could've, should've, though. Yeah, I noticed some issues there. But, it was after my crash and being it was on the right side, I just thought maybe the clip-on was bent (it is) and the bike tended to wanna tuck a bit there... After hearing the issues, I think it was the track. I also noted that Jeff was not as fast through there as usual. I think he felt it to be less than desired and maybe a tad slower than usual. I know I felt like I was tip toes through there...

Actually, in watching the vid again, the two front guys (Includes Murse) were totally rolled out and hands up. The expert guy on the R6 was in full race mode, tucked and the other kid was on his tail. The R6 swerved out (still tucked) and the kid behind was in it and just slammed you. I'd really lay blame to them both, but I do not see where the guys in front and yourself could have done anything wrong or done it better...

You guys should have had the red flag in 13 by that time also. If you watch jeff and I coming out of 13 and JP just after, we were checking up out of 13. Dunno... It appears that you were all in a line and the overall lesson is to stay in the gas and put a hand up and THEN roll out. No brakes, no panic, just sit up gradually and roll out. The guy in front of you panicked and looks to have chopped throttle and caused a chain reaction... You were just the Oreo filling, man...

That was a crazy day for sure in numerous ways... Jeff and I got a great hole shot and were checked out from everyone and when we rounded 13, we saw the flag. We got across the start/finish line and nothing... We get to 4 and saw the bike on the edge of the track and figured that was it. We pull into the pits and see the carnage on the straight... We were both like WTF? I just wished it never restarted... I of course, low sided in 13. We checked out again and I knew I was making ground on Jeff there and just got too greedy... Trailed too much brake and ate shit. The bummer was that the M/C must have taken a huge blow as I didn't have any brakes in the two other races. In race 2, I had them at the start and when I got into one, there was nothing. Well, there was some, but it was almost all the way to the bar so, I was trying to adjust it on the back straight with my left hand so I could stay in the throttle. I'd get it adjusted and get into one and nothing... I pulled in twice during the race... I had one of the guys from AFJ in front of me both times and passed him once and then pitted and then caught him again the second time and just rode behind him so I didn't have to brake much. Saw Hollywood coming and was worried I was going to hold everyone up, but saw the white flag and out of the carousel and figured I wouldn't hold them up in a battle or anything. Hopefully, I didn't... I had enough time in between the 2nd and 3rd race of mine to bleed the brakes. Thought that handled it. I got into one and same thing... So, I tried to ride around it for a lap and just said "F-it" and came in. Got 12 laps in three races. YES!!! Was like Mad sucking Craig's nuts. Salty...

$200 firm. I am selling a gently used PULL set up (GP Shift) for an RC8R or RC8R RS (Race Spec). This is the QS4 USB Quick Shift from Bazzaz and was used for only half a season before we switched to DynoJet. I would have kept the shifter, but I really needed tuning ability and the DynoJet guys stepped up this year and got us a complete package and I have this unit for sale. These cost about $480 and are sometimes as low as $400 on Ebay, etc. This is a plug and play unit and will work with the stock setup with NO NEED of getting anything else. You can also add traction control later. The unit is aluminum and VERY rugged. The unit shows a bit of wear from rubbing the bottom of the rearset. Nothing serious and you can’t even see it as it is on the back side. Comes in original packaging and has the CD and instructions. This will only work with the 08-10 RC8R and 11-12 RC8R RS (Race Spec) – WILL NOT WORK WITH THE 11-12 RC8R STREET WITH DUAL FIRE HEADS (two plugs per cylinder)… NOTE!!! I have a BRAND NEW in the sealed bag PUSH controller for this unit also. If you wish to buy with the set, please add $100.

AGain, the way it works is if it was crashed and a frame replacement needed, the OEM will send a frame out and the original frame would have had to have the neck cut off that had the VIN# and sent back or destroyed. The next step SHOULD have been to stamp the original VIN# back into the new frame. This is the step that was not taken. However, if they have a bill of sale from the dealership or similar, it will work. Also, the same with race teams. They will have non stamped frames a lot of times due to the frames are not intended to ever be used but for competition. They will usually stamp some sort of identification into the frame to determine what is what. Then, if ever sold, they would record that and list it on the MCO/MSO... That's pretty rare anymore as most race bikes are OEM based and not allowing any mods to the frames. Superbike and MotoGP based machines will be weird, but even Superbike rules are using OEM frames and have VIN#s...

I have three sets of slicks. Will probably have two more after this weekend's races, but this is what I have so far. All sets are either a 200 rear or a 195 rear designed for liter bikes. The fronts are either 125 or 120. Whatever the profile, they are all compatible as there is simply just a difference in sidewall feel and design. Some guys run 125 fronts and some like 120s. I like them both and why there are different profiles... In the end, great track day tires and even though the rears are somewhat worn on the three tire sets, they are still really good. I have a good number of rears that are worn through the wear marks... So, first set is the best set. This is a Moto2 set of tires. Yes, MotoGP Moto2 stuff. They are a dual compound and would be awesome at Putnam especially and I even used them this past week at Mid-Ohio where you are on the right side a lot... Great shape by the wear marks and this is a two tire set. Asking $125 - these were over $550 a set... Set #2. This is a really decent set that has two rears. The original set is the new NTec US made slicks front and rear. The front is a 125 and the rear a 200. The 6838 rear is a 195 rear. Again, same outside diameter and will work fine with a 125 front. I know as I have been using these mixes for two seasons... The US slicks are AWESOME. The front is really good. They are both the Med+ so, they still have really good life. Asking $125 for all three... Final set #3. This is a 6680 set and a 6838 additional rear. Some wear on the two rears, but run the right psi and temp and you'll get a good bit of time. The front is actually a 125/80 profile as opposed to what we usually get in a 125/75. Love the feel on this front. In the end, a decent Intermediate set... Asking $100 for all three. Willing to make a smoking deal on all three sets. Will be at Nelson this weekend if you want to grab them or will be at Mid-Ohio on the 16th. Also willing to deliver as I travel through CBus and areas near...

Yup, that's me. I was interested in the SV Superbike and have been actively looking... The "race Frame" isn't a true statement. The thing is that it was probably a warranty or insurance deal and they got a new frame. They never transferred the VIN # and thus, why it is blank. True race bikes as some have had will still have some type of stamping to clarify what frame is in use. I remember some teams running weird VIN#s, but they still were stamped something... When the seller says "race frame", he probably just means it needs to be a track only bike... Buy an R6... If you really want a GSXR750, buy one built. Otherwise, the newer gen 600s will eat your lunch. Reuben can get really solid and dependable numbers from the 750s...

PM me and I will get you a buddy's name to call as he probably has some OEM stuff as he has a ZX10 Superbike and doesn't need the stuff...

Actually, had they allowed me to run the program and gave me the budget and allowed me to make the rules and everything, I would have taken a pay cut.

Demo rides or just to view?

Just to address the KTM deal, we at KTM had to make the tough decision to cancel the Race Orange program for 2012 due to budget constraints. It had nothing to do with coming to agreements and nothing to do with sign ups, etc. We have a solid relationship with Mid-Ohio and was nothing to do with them and the fine staff that works there. Budgets get cut or need to be adjusted to accommodate different things. We are hoping to see it back at Mid-Ohio as early as next year. We are still supporting the school and PTR events by allocating (5) RC8Rs for use by instructors...

He had a lot of us fooled. I thought he was a genuine dude that had a small crash and was looking for some help. We then go deeper to find out he is nothing more than an attention whore that seemingly knows everything and has more experience in about every top end field you could ever imagine, but is just a rent-a-cop for a company... Anyways, he is all the above, but I like guys like that around as it makes the rest of us feel and look VERY normal... I say keep him.

Please, PLEASE add me. Oh, oh, oh!! Me, me, me! Fucking ass hat...

We have been playing with electric for a bike for some time and it is really an issue on cost and technology. The amount of time, the amount of money, etc... All too high right now. Someday, but in the end, there are a VERY small % of people that will buy such machines and an even lower % of companies that will produce and make money at it...

Good luck buying that much land around you. Who's to say that the lots to the right in that pic do not get duplexes built? I would say you will have a pretty hefty bill in buying those lots. Especially if the guy is a typical land buyer who will either sell the whole to a guy that puts up spec homes or duplexes. If you wanna buy, best find out how much as he certainly isn't (I would never expect him to, either) going to sell them to you at anywhere near $600 even per lot... I'd suspect that if I counted correctly, there are 17-18 lots. Best to expect he will sell them at 2-3 lots per sale to accommodate a home similar to what you have. If that's the case, I'd suspect that he'd sell the 2-3 sections as a whole for about $20-$30k-ish. All depends on the area, how much is going up around you and by the pics, looks to be a good bit. I'd say you better think in the realm of $120-$200k plus... That head of your CBR isn't going to cost much to repair... I'd say sell your house and find a place out in the country and try that. Or, at least buy that small section beside you to prevent another house to be built right on top of you like the one currently is... The area beside you isn't even a 1/2 acre so, it is really small. But attractive for smaller homes and duplexes. I'd say he could get that into two sections at $20k each... So, $40k for what is beside you and really, $80k ish for what is across from you... Get on Ebay and find a good used motor. Take the head off, send to Reuben to get done and slap it together. Or, get the whole thing done by Reuben and be done with it. Take that money you'd get from selling your joy and don't worry about it. It is chicken feed for what you'd have to pay for that series of lots... Then again, you may be in an area where it is not really growing and suitable for building right now. If so, you probably could bargain a bit, but I'd be amazed if you got all of it under $100k...

I gotta agree here also. Some sales people are good at what they do and if you were showing signs of being a tire kicker and essentially a waste of effort, deals ain't gonna happen. It's all how you approach the deal and what you ask that can indicate that you are serious or not...

I gotta say that Hinderer is a dealership that runs under a car dealership mentality. Thus, it is going to be shitty when compared to most motorcycle based dealerships. If that makes sense... I used to deal with those guys on a regular basis and they were always saying how they were going to set the world on fire and be one of the biggest and best shops in the state. Well, guess what? That never panned out and in fact, the way they perceive things is so far off base and so far away from the norm that you would get from a true motorcycle dealer that if not fixed or remedied, they are going to either be a dealer that just gets by and a tax write off for the car portion or they are going to just fold or sell. Honda only is a bad idea anyways. But, add in the fact that they have a car mentality and it makes it worse. Now, will they have moments where they exceed others in price, etc? Sure. They all do. But, it is about consistency and these guys are constantly doing poorly... HNW is a MUCH better choice. Talk to Dave there and tell him I sent you and you'll get the best deal. If they do not work, I can help ya find a solid Honda dealer that will be the best price, but honestly, I like it when locals buy locally and HNW would be great as when you need service, they will get you sorted much better than if you buy it a good bit of ways away and then bring to them...

It is a combined group every session. It isn't split in 30 minute sessions... The splits are for stopping to refresh and refuel. Both I and A are combined together... Also, a VERY important note is that for "I" riders, this is an event that you need a minimum of 4 track days at the "I" level. The last one I did last Sunday was containing quite a few "I" riders that shouldn't have been out there. This is a higher, more advanced pace. But, both levels running the whole time with breaks at the top and bottom of every hour...

Bell has come a LOOOOOOONG ways, man. Trust me, in the sport I am in, I don't skimp on my helmets. The Bell Star and RS-1 for that matter are some of the best available. A lot of great choices, actually, but Bell is a great helmet and has served me rather well. You really should check out the RS-1 or Star. The RS-1 actually fits a little different, but sounds like you may need to try helmets on for sure due to head shape. It's too bad about the Nexx lids as they look pretty awesome in design and even graphics...
