  1. Great day on Sunday. Cool to see the Posse of Steve, Nick and Maddycat. Was sorry to see Steve end up in that crash. It's pretty much a deal where your head is down and launching and when the ocean splits around a stalled bike, it is often the case where a guy in the back doesn't have enough time to react in a way to avoid the crash. The second start issue was our 1000 Superbike race and while I didn't get to see it, Rob and my son saw it and it sounds like the guy on the R6 waved his hands and then lowered them to try and start the bike. Both hands up and waving like you are trying to flag down a plane, guys. Until they are all passed... Outside that, great day of racing and great competition. Those freakin young pups were flying yesterday. Justin playing with us all and then Wrobel on a BONE STOCK GSXR600!! Oh, and that fellow old dude Agnes... Overall, a fun and awesome time. Needless to say, I am WHOOOPED!!! See ya all the next round.
  2. Guys, got my CD and I gotta say that the presentation alone is awesome. The CD and the way he did that as well as the pics which I always know are going to be bad ass. Anyways, great stuff and well worth the $. His pics are about as clear and sharp as I have ever seen...
  3. As mentioned, if Ti, you shouldn't wrap it... But, it is really to keep things from getting hot like your legs. Otherwise, guys will run it for aesthetic reasons... Looks cool on certain bikes, etc...
  4. I'm in, but skipping the gayness on Saturday, but using my credits to race Sunday. The mini-me is coming and we got babysitting suty for the youngest one Saturday. Might head up Saturday night and stay with Fagyra, I mean, Neyra... Mid-Ohio was an eye opener. I need some seat time! This old man was riding like a tool bag and felt like I hadn't touched my mountain bike for a year!
  5. Guys, just get a CD from Kyle. You won't be disappointed. I just went in, filled out the order form and rolled out. The pics are always amazing and not typical side shots as you get with everyone else...
  6. Dude, you win. All of a sudden, I talk about my buddy who is an engineer and is NERC certified and you come back with the comment that he isn't allowed to discuss. Your level of NERC training obviously isn't the same. It probably is a brief overview to do your job as a rent-a-cop. You also don't understand that you are not the contractor, but rather, employed as an independent contractor. I get that you were in the Guard. I get that you drove a truck. All good. That puts you square at 25 yrs old. Great. But, you've come to this site acting like you have all these years of experience. Getting educated on something isn't experience. Another thing to keep in mind is that there are people on here with a shit pile of REAL world experience in the fields you claim you have experience in. Point is that you are all over the place. I don't give two shits why you have two jobs. One is an $8/hr rental cop job which isn't an issue. But, you acting like you are owed something from ANYONE is bullshit and obviously a sign of immaturity. But, you'll get it soon enough. The real question is about the second job. You've never detailed any of that and it would be interesting to see what that one is since you proclaim it to be the bread winning job. But, working two full time jobs, raising a family and such is admirable. But, acting like your shit doesn't stink isn't. And, I can probably figure that due to that mentality you have, no matter what job you have, you have an attitude and it will catch up with you sooner than later. You need to understand respect and understand managing people if you ever want to advance. As of right now, you don't. Good luck with that.
  7. But it is so much fun to poke at the dump ones... He's so clueless and it is so funny to get him worked up as he wants to fit in and gets all huffy when you prod at him...
  8. First of all, smart ass... I do know how to read and the extra cherry on top is the fact that I can actually structure sentences to be understandable by the masses that read them. If you want to compare brain pans at any time, we can surely do that. Or, you can continue to be a bad ass behind a computer screen and act up like a 13 yr old. Your choice. But, my buddy who is NERC certified works as an engineer with an electric company. Not sure why you would even remotely need NERC training for being a fucking watchman, but hey... I suspect that in your retort, you failed to realize that NERC in which I referred was an electric company deal. Not sure what the hell you are referring and no idea what DPL is off hand, but can ask and see what you are talking about. Are you talking about DP&L around Dayton?? As for my buddy not being allowed to discuss NERC, what the fuck are you talking about? When did I discuss anything about NERC in detail or mention it here? It's OK to tell everyone here you need NERC training and yet, I cannot discuss or ask about NERC from a friend? It's even easy to figure out online. You gotta be talking about something else anyways... Now, all of a sudden, you are a contractor. You are all over the place, dude. Do you mean, you are hired as an independent contractor for security? That's a totally different thing, bud. You need to understand things a little more clearly than you do before you go spouting off bullshit.
  9. Trust me, shit pants, I have managed a good number of people and am a manager now. I don't let anyone walk over me, but I do RESPECT and treat those above me with the idea that if I treat them poorly, it can mean my job will get to a point I have to deal with a bunch of crap after doing so. If I think they are wrong, I work hard and show them they were in a different way. You need to understand the art of when it is the right time to speak up and when it isn't. The response here is exactly what I expect from a kid that has no respect for authority. That's all well and good and maybe some day when you get over your "I'm a bad ass" attitude, you'll recognize that. But, at this stage, you obviously don't understand. Thus, why you get $8/hr.
  10. OK, you got me. I mixed it up. Whatever... The point is really simple. You have IT experience (Searching on Google doesn't count), CNC experience, CIS experience, etc... All within what, two years after the military? When did you enlist and where did you serve out of?
  11. Oh, and just cause I am feeling frisky after my trip back, I have a friend that was a NERC System operator and he was making almost $100k. Not $8/hr... So, I call bullshit on whatever you are saying you've done, what you've experienced and maybe even the military background which would be disgraceful... But, you mentioned NERC and when we talked, I asked him and when I found out what they made, it was pretty funny when I remembered your first post...
  12. Oh, and Exarch... Just to let you in on a few things... IF you really told us the truth and you told your boss to fuck off or similar (Paraphrasing you), you would have been written up no matter how good an employee you were. The thing you need to realize is that the world doesn't revolve around you. There are rules and no matter how good you are at your craft like flipping burgers to landing the Space Shuttle, you do what you said you did to your boss and you get written up. Plain and simple. In most cases, had it gone down as you mentioned, you would have been fired. The things that don't make sense is that according to you, it is a basic, entry level job so, no real responsibility that couldn't easily be filled by someone else quickly. You also state that you were slanderous towards your boss and that you refused training. Then, you say that you were going to be leaving in 2 months so, it isn't a great job anyways... All this wrapped up and now, you are trying to convince us that you are the employee of the year at that place. Please tell me what burger joint or Best Buy you work at so I know to avoid, please? If you are the gold star employee, I can only imagine the shit show employees that are the others you work with...
  13. Hey Bad, we nailed it on the head, eh? Billy Bad Ass here is 25!! But, he's been in the military, has CAD experience, all these other experiences and is a guy with multiple kids and a wife. So, right out of high school at 18, he enters the military, is out at 22, gets trained in CAD within apparently a couple of years and gets married and pops out a couple of kids. Hmmmmmm... Somehow, the timeline just doesn't work for me. In any case, the age tells a HUGE story as to the responses he has given. Now I understand and am going to let the doucher run as free as he wants as I understand he is unlike a lot of the 25 year old SMART guys I know and that have a level head and understand life and do not need to try and stretch the truth to fit in. This is a case of a typical 25 year old that THINKS he has life figured out, thinks he is due something already, and that has an inferiority complex. Explains a ton...
  14. Yup, I have been warned even by OSU Police when I was going to school down there for having a visor up at a stop light stopped even. No biggie as I clicked it down when I rolled off. But, as stated by SJC, it sounds like IF you got a ticket, it was due to something else. They probably used the visor/eye protection as a reason to pull you over. All of a sudden, it sounds like you were doing something wrong that warranted a stop and seems you were cited properly. Now, should an officer pull you over and cite you for just the visor? Yeah, not typical and somewhat a dick move, but in the end, to post on a public forum and wish he gets shot in the head is just plain stupid. I got pulled over two times with the van as I have limo tint, but each officer just wanted to essentially see what was going on and what I was hauling. When I told them why and what I haul in there, neither gave me any grief. And, both were State Troopers who we all seem to think are somewhat aggressive on ticketing folks. It's all how you handle yourself in whether or not you get a ticket at times... You apparently were similar to the way you acted here in your initial post and subsequent responses...
  15. I think he's on the higher end of that up to 25-ish age group. If older and past 30, he's not learned much in this world.
  16. Winner, winner, chicken dinner. This guy is gonna learn at some point that when he expects the world to adjust to him and essentially thinks he is taking it to the "Man", the reality is that the "Man" is gonna fuck you like a 110 lb prison boy. He's gonna bitch, whine and stomp his feet but will come to find out he got handled like a pro.
  17. From a guy that raced in 94 and raced the different F2s and F3s, the Honda would be a better choice amongst the two. The E series ZX6s were fast straight line, but turds in terms of handling. I had a buddy that tried to race the E model and was thanking sweet 8lb, 6oz baby Jesus in 95 when the 6R came along. Just my $.02 in regards to your choices.
  18. Looking at possibly Saturday... Not 100%. Races, I am doing the two superbike races, 1000 GT and Heavy 20. Mad and Nick need to buck up and run sprints. Not gonna get any man parts if ya only do one race...
  19. Nah, I am all good. The thing I hate are douchers like this that have no work ethic, no respect for any people that are their bosses. He mentioned issues in the military and this job so, it is a common theme. Then, goes and says I don't know him. Oh, but I do. I managed people like him and know their type. These types of morons are why there are people that are worthless at what they do. All this experience he has in higher end fields and yet he has a wife that quits her job and he is working at a low paying job. Just insane and rubs me wrong... See ya monday.
  20. So, going to college and getting some "experience" isn't a degree, isn't a job related experience that qualifies. As for the counter steering, there was maybe 1-2 people that had some "questionable" comments, but a majority of people were correct. The thing at the end of the day is that just like your bullshit experience and military comments, you have no clue and cannot absorb proper info let alone apply it. One thing you REALLY need to do is go back through and see what people think of you in general. You keep saying you are different in person. Really? I can promise you one simple truth. Most the time, you are VERY similar in person as you are on a forum. If you are EVEN CLOSE to like on here, you are a total idiot. You come across as that and most on here would agree. Great way to be looked at by people around you... Oh, and if you think I am a keyboard tough guy, Id tell you that to your face. You haven't a clue, you are WAY inexperienced as a rider and certainly that is a key indicator as how much experience you have in the other fields you say you have experience you listed. Just like the motorcycle experience you mention when questioning it concerning your crash. I can also promise, with the comments you went to college, went into the military and have all this experience and family and jobs, you would be about 30 plus years old. I can promise I'd lay a large sum of money on the bet that you are mid 20s at the oldest.
  21. Alright... I am going to regret this as you are a total mind fucked, retard, but here goes... First and foremost, your jobs are two different deals. You shouldn't expect that the boss at job #1 cares about what your job #2 is and requires. Same for boss at #2. The fact is that boss at job #1 and #2 are concerned over results of the employees at the job they manage, direct, etc. Can they be sympathetic about the other job and work with you to accomodate a person that works another job? Sure. But, when you are at whatever job, you are an employee at that company and work for that boss. Simple as that. If you need training, you are asked to be at training. For $8/hr., there isn't something like flying out to CA to get trained for a week type thing, but most likely a spot opened up and you needed it so, he was letting you know what was up. Here's the thing you are missing and probably reinforced after this post, but I couldn't get past this one to find out, your boss is a person that essentially tells you what to do for the better of the bottom line. You don't tell him what to do. If you have a conflict with something else like another job, family vacation, bowling league, whatever - it isn't his problem. If he needs to have you come into work on a day that you normally do not, just be smart and try and act like you are older than 18 and tell him nicely about the conflict. If he gets pissy, maybe remind him what the issues are and see where that gets you. Again, the boss position is likely not respected by you because it is the type of person you are. You are not a leader as evidence has shown by your insanely ignorant posts. You are most likely mid 20s, banged your G/F and had a kid and now have to pay bills that you were not expecting. You puff the chest out and try and make us all believe that you are a hard working, big bucks earning, bad ass. You're not. Get a good single job, manage your affairs, money and family and live like a majority of everyone on here. If you answered the phone that way with me (Yes, I have been a "boss" before), you would be directed to a morning or first thing when you got to work meeting to be told you were being sent home and will not be working for at least a week for the things you did in total disrespect. I would have documented the issue and notes, had you sign off on it and IF it happened again (will as you have total disrespect for those that manage you), you'd be fired. However, had it gone as bad as it probably did and you acted like a total ass, I would have asked you to come to the office to get your final paycheck and told you that you were being let go for your lack of respect for the boss. What you fail to understand and is why you make $8/hr, respect doesn't have to be earned by a manager/boss. You come in as a new employee, he is your boss and you do what he tells you at the very moment you clock in. Simple. Now, if he treats you like an asshole, causes major issues with poor decisions, etc., that is what HR is for. If he is the only guy that runs the place and is the HR Dept., check signer, CEO, VP, etc all rolled into one? Just fucking quit. If it is that bad (One situation doesn't make it a case where you acted the way you did - it has been building or most likely, you have been building resentment for a while), walk. Don't tell us you got this WAY better job, WAY more money coming in, WAY better conditions and not needing to really work 2 jobs due to the better paying job you have, etc. We don't give two shits. You are bragging and acting arrogant and I can promise you that you are probably at the bottom of the totem pole in regards to experience and life lessons learned. Get on your 250 Ninja and ride as fast as you can into on coming traffic and do us all a favor. I cannot believe that there are people as ignorant and completely dillusional as you are. It's been a LOOOOONG time since I have come across someone that just doesn't have a clue about life let alone anything like riding a motorcycle. Stop posting on the forum. Get a real job so you only have one, take care of your make believe family (I don't buy you have a family) and act like a fucking adult for a few months and see if you can grow and learn and THEN come back here when you understand a few more things about life itself...
  22. One of the most popular lightweight bikes being raced period. There are enough parts and knowledge for these bikes to lasts for years. TONS out there in great shape for racing. For street use? No idea...
  23. It's just like anything out there. The more people that own a set bike, the more parts. The more parts, the cheaper they can be found for as to sell, you need to be competitively priced. R6s and GSXRs are the most common bikes and they are the cheapest to get parts for and at the track, more exist so, replacement parts that can leave you stranded after a light crash are easier to find. Hondas are cool, can be made to go almost as well as the others, but the honda is probably ranked 4th amongst the Big 4 in terms of what is regarded as the best track weapons...
  24. Of course, seat time is always going to be #1. It's like basketball. Unless you practice, you will never get better. Practice a lot and you will gain ability and skill to advance you. So, take seat time away as it is obvious and makes the most sense, but isn't really a "mod" per say. I will say spend more on track time before you go dumping cash into the bike. Personally, I think taking a legit school like DiSalvo, Swantz, Yamaha Champion, etc are great ideas. Those three are really the best and the others are general and lesser. I think the three listed are worth more than anything as you will LEARN what to do and what to expect... Go from there. But, as far as mods go, think safety first. Brake lines are essential. Ergonomics will make you more relaxed and less likely to struggle with dumb stuff like dragging pegs and having to work around gearing that is stock at tracks where stock gearing is terrible and hinders the learning experience. Next, think what really holds you back as you progress. You will get better and things will hinder progress and CAN possibly cause more issue rather than allowing you to advance and learn. Things like tires and suspension. I personally think that too often, riders think they don't need race compound tires. BUT, understand that race tires allow for you to have consistency. OEM or even good tires like Q2s and Pures will run too hot towards the end of the day and get greasy and really, will wear faster. Think about this. They will work to a degree and up to a point before you are just riding around them or nursing yourself and the bike towards the ends of sessions or the days. Race tires IF maintained and finding a proper setup (Leads to suggestion #2 shortly) will provide you with consistent results and allow you to progress. That leads to the second idea. Really, should come before race tires, but suspension. You never know what good suspension can do for you until you try it. You can patch stock stuff, swap for a different shock, add oil, change springs, etc. But, good suspension components are better than anything and will net two things. Better results, but also feel. You will learn what the bike is doing when you are getting proper feedback. Also, DO NOT just get a rear shock and stock or patched front. DO NOT just do a front fork upgrade and stick with an OEM rear. All you are doing is causing an unbalance result. You have a great rear shock, but the fronts cannot keep up and will destroy tires and ultimately cause your setup to be tough to dial in which will then destroy the rear. Stock stuff is really good. There is no doubt and to most that say they are fine are those that have not used cartridges and aftermarket rear shocks... They have learned to adapt and ride around stock stuff... Anyways, stuff like exhausts and ECU upgrades like a dyno jet or bazzaz system are awesome. They help with the bike's overall ease of running at a high performance level and allow you to use better throttle application and smoother riding at that high performance level. BUT, stock can be damn good and not really something needed. But, it is nice to have a better mid range due to proper tuning vs stock where there can be a dip or dead spot, etc. All in all, one example is when we were doing the KTM Race Orange events. You can take a bone stock RC8R with Q2s and turn faster than average Advanced, Intermediate and Novice pace around the track. The bike is that good. But, take an R6 and you will see the same thing. Possible. But here is the rub. For me to ride at 1:35 on a stock RC8R with Q2s, I am riding harder than I would ride the same pace on my racebike. That extra effort to run the same pace wears you out, causes you to tire sooner and likely to open the door on mistakes. You go and add race tires, you can still run that pace and be comfortable, but wear less and have more energy and more focus. Add suspension and you gain more again. Add ergo stuff and you will be able to work the bike with less effort, etc. In the end, that 1:35 is easier as you add things and understand things.
