  1. Paul is right on the clothing choice for sure, thats why I prefer 1911 style handguns, slimmer than say a glock and has the capacity I need for whatever situation I get into. You can get them closer to the body without them sticking out as much.
  2. I have never drag raced a bike, and I have never been on a track so I am just a street rider with a few seat hours. Sam- Yes the rider makes the bike in most cases. However,to me, on paper the Liter bikes are a better choice for me.... best power to weight ration and they maintain some ability to corner with the 600/750 crowd better than a 12/13/1400cc bike.
  3. True but it doesnt look as clean and some of my new parts wouldnt fit
  4. I have watched many Busa's get walked by liter bikes, I wouldnt justify the extra weight with the extra .3 liter difference. I mean you might walk around me over like 160mph but honestly, I dont see that speed often. Edit: 2007 CBR1000rr is 388lbs dry and makes 158.8 hp @ 11,500 rpm 2007 Busa is 478lbs dry and makes 175 bhp @ 9800 rpm Not much of a gap for 1300 Vs a 1000, the CBR is the lowest HP'ed liter bike anyway. So you have over a 100lbs and 17 more horsepower, and every 100 pounds in the 1/4 mile is a tenth almost so your not far off..... probably even with like riders. For shits and giggles: 2007 GSXR 1000 is 379lbs and makes roughly 160-165 2007 R1 is 381lbs and makes roughly 170 2007 ZX-10r is 386 and makes roughly 170
  5. I agree that nitrous isnt the answer to all displacment problems, I prefer a well setup turdbine system but I can find any 1000rr's with a nice turbo kit and not chopped to hell. Dont get me wrong, nitrous is a potent tool when used correctly and very efficient for the cost. Hell most bikes have forged internals somewhat and the factory injectors are hell big so power adders arent a half bad idea IF you can keep the front tire on the ground. I think that liter bikes are a very happy medium for the street, they are easier to ride and a bit more comfortable to manage. At the track thats a different story but I have never been on the track on a bike so I cant really say what I would prefer, but a 600 750 would be my first choice.
  6. Seem like decent cars but I cannot fit in them, too damn tall.
  7. I beg to differ Try and find the replacment for displacement
  8. That Kel Tec is a very carry friendly peice but its by a compamy I dont trust. I prefer a 1911 style weapon for comfort, the Springfield EMP for certain. I beleive Ruger has a new mini compact but I cant recall. I would look into some holster options, 5.11 tactical makes an undershirt holster and I know Uncle Mikes has some nice stuff. Personaly I stay away from Kydex or however its spelled and go with leather becuase it moves better and doesnt look like you have a hunk of plastic on your hip. Your woman should carry a snub nose .38 revolver
  9. gears are sitting on my bench for her bike as we speak, waiting on a chain for the 520 converison.
  10. I like liter bikes for a few reasons, one being the around town riding... its a ton easier. Second I ride SchmuckGirls 600 from time to time and it feels small and like its struggling to get my fat tall body moving. Yea maybe throttle control is more important on a liter but at least I dont have to shift all the damn time trying to keep the bike in the power band and what not, but I ride the lowest HP'ed liter bike out of the big three and its the most prone to wheelies due to awesome engineering... at least it handles the best but that doesnt mean shit with me on it
  11. My old Accord was tuned at Slomo, the whole situation didnt end well and my timing curve looked like a roller coaster on drugs but it ran.... just not well. I have not seen IPS work but with all the succes Corey has had and all the happy customers I would still recomend them even though my experience wasnt the greatest.
