  1. Awesome, thanks Charles! Post up some pics of your tank!!
  2. Yea Ive always liked the guys up at Phishy. I hadn't been up there for a few years and their new seahorse tank when you walk in is BADASS. Anthony, I was talking to Aaron up there and he told me to go with rapidled.com's DIY 6 led system for my tank. He said I should have no problem growing most corals. Heres the one Im going to go with: http://www.rapidled.com/servlet/the-253/06-Ultra-Premium-LED/Detail
  3. No, I have never been there. Ill have to check it out sometime!
  4. Well I went to Phishy Business and had the water tested. All is well with a mere "trace" of amonia, but nothing to worry about. Added some more live rock today (Pink pieces and a piece of fake coral I had laying around until I get some real stuff) http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/cdcaa5ad.jpg
  5. My ruler says 3/8" here in Grove City, on the pavement
  6. Im no noob...When I setup the tank, I used AgraLive sand, 20 lbs of live rock, and 20 gallons of 100% Natural Live Ocean Seawater from a local saltwater retailer (filled the rest with saltwater R/O). The tank was up and running for a little over 2 weeks before introducing the fish. I followed the cycle, testing the water every few days. There is a fair amount of brown algae which tells me that the tank was at the end of its cycle before I introduced fish. So far so good. This. Thanks man.
  7. Mopar usually walks a straight line, hes a good dude. I didnt know he hung with Kipp, and thats where he got into trouble. Kipp on the other hand, deserves the law to the utmost extent....FUCK THEIVES

  10. I had this setup about 3 years ago as a reef tank, but due to lack of time I tore it down. Heres what it used to look like: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/dee73631.jpg I wanted to simplify things, so for now (until I get the reef itch again) I set it up for fish only. Heres some progress pics from initial setup, to present First day setup, live sand and live rock: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/e7b9f0ee.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/67839f5d.jpg After 5 days we added 2 clowns (1 black ocellaris, and 1 orange ocellaris): http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/6c0d8acd.jpg Snail popped out of the liverock: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/ced9bcf7.jpg After about 1.5 weeks: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/5ca73616.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/79d84271.jpg 3 legged star popped out: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/ea872899.jpg Picture from today: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/958890ed.jpg New addition tonight - Powder Blue Tang, Coral Banded Shrimp, and Mexican Turbo Grazer Snail: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c381/hlfvipr/b5ee8edd.jpg Ill probably end up going with a reef setup again, adding a new LED light setup as well.
