  5. First of all just because i am not against it doesnt mean i support it. Secondly because i really dont give a shit if someone is gay that is denouncing my manhood??? That could be one of the most ignorant statements i have ever heard.
  6. I have had alltel for 5 years now and I love them. My dad has had them for like 12 years and he loves them too. If I ever have a problem I go to one of the stores and they take care of it no matter what. The only thing I have ever bitched about is that the free phones that they offer always fucking blow. However the last 2 times I got a phone I spent 50 on one and 75 on the other and both lasted me for the full 2 years without a problem.
  7. :eek:I think i just shit myself watching that, I cant imagine how he felt.
  8. I would say that yes you are correct as far as the attitude between cruisers and sport bikes, however some of that comes from the fact that at most rallies and runs you see 1 sport bike for every hundred cruisers, so i think the attitude is if sport bikes aren't riding for charity then they must be doing dumb shit. Not my opinion and just a guess really. If you want this thing to give sport bikes a better name then i would recommend that you market it to as many sport bike groups as possible. Of course allow all bikers but try your best to get support from the sport bike groups. As far as the idea for something like a parade with riders donating at their own discretion, that could work. For the donations you could make a real simple form where they put their info, amount donated, and then have a list of maybe 4 or 5 charities and have them pick which they would like to donate to, have different piles for each along with seperate cash boxes for each and just make sure everything balances at the end of the day, that way there is a paper trail for all the donations and no one can question the intention or disbursment of the money raised. As far as escorting goes someone needs to contact local police or sheriff offices and ask to talk to the community liason explain to them what you are planning to do and if they could provide a few cars or bikes that could escort the ride (ask several departments because every escorted ride has several departments involved) or if a group of riders(local motorcycle group or even ohio-riders) could block traffic for the ride. I dont know all the ins and outs of it but those are the basics. Iknow that with the group i ride with we have blocked traffic many times to keep the group together, cops generally do not care even though it is illegal, but for something as large as this you would have to get permission first.
  9. You can still get 2 tickets 2 fines and 2 punishments, but u can only get points on your license for 1 of the 2 offenses.
  10. May 31 - 3rd Annual Biker Bingo Run sponsoredby Fallen Riders Memorial Fund. Starts at Zig's Pub 3415 Brookpark Rd. Parma. First bike out at 10 am last bike in at 4pm. August 17 - 5th Annual Memorial Mystery Poker Run - More information to be announced. Fallen Riders Memorial Fund - Pre Registration Aug 13 at Bike night at Quaker Steak and Lube, Valley View Ohio These are rides that the Fallen Riders Memorial Fund have set up this year in Cleveland. I am a member of the Vulcan Riders Association and we will be helping with the poker run in August. I would strongly suggest that Satan gets in contact with Chris Nice who is currently running the fund and tell him that ohioriders.net wants to help if they can and that the people who belong to this site want to start a similar run in Columbus. I personally think that instead of starting another fund similar that we should try to help FRMF grow. I know a few people on the board of directors and I think they would be very interested in expanding out to Columbus. Also, FRMF is willing to help anyone anywhere its just a matter of they are based in Cleveland so for the most part the only people that know about them are people around here. This is how the process works,(copied from website) To notify us of a family that needs our help, for more info, to make suggestions , comments, or to make donations, contact Chris Nice @ 216-401-8314 or e-mail FALLENRIDERS@AOL.COM Also you can contact anyone an the board, they will be more than willing to help you. HOW EACH CASE WILL BE HANDLED: After the memorial fund has been informed, we will first get all the details of the accident for review. After all the facts have been reviewed by the board, then someone from the board will contact the family to find out how they can be assisted. The board of directors will then meet to discuss the families needs and to determine how the fund can help. After the determination is made, the executive or a board member will personally present the family with a check. The fallen riders memorial fund’s board of directors hope and pray that we will never have to use this memorial fund for it’s intended purpose, but unfortunately that will not be the case. If everyone is serious about getting a run going in Columbus with FRMF and you want me to talk to one of the board members I am willing to do that, however if everyone thinks it is a better idea to do something independent and not go through FRMF that is fine too and i will still help any way that I can.
  11. Im down for some rides this year, however i am pretty active in the motorcycle group i belong to so not sure how many i will make but would like to do a few. I am also a fairly conservative rider in the twisties but on straight aways i like to get some speed, but i also have a 1500cc cruiser so when i think im haulin ass picking up speed everyone else will be passing me im sure. oh well as long as i can see someones tail light ill be cool.
  12. No matter how the site is promoted you always run the risk of dumbasses joining. However with the people that are on this forum i know there would not be an issue telling that person they are an asshole and after so much shit they would leave. Basically I say fuck it run the risk and then run damage control by letting people know if they are a dick.
  13. I dont know why but i couldnt stop laughing when that guy just booted that thing
  14. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
  15. Signed and reposted on many other sites.
  16. I have been looking for info on that event but i cant find any info at all. Can u tell me where u got the info or just pm the info to me. thank you
  17. The passenger was a bystander, she had no control over the situation, the officer didnt do too good of a job protecting her.
  18. "It places us in the position of denying ... equal opportunity to blacks and Latinos," Actually now they truly will have an EQUAL opportunity, they will have to meet the same exact requirements as white people. That is truly an EQUAL opportunity
  19. I have a cruiser and i do wave to everyone and i have noticed that 8 out of 10 sport bike riders will wave back but only maybe 5 out of 10 harley riders will wave back, and almost all jap cruisers will wave back. I dont care what people ride, hell this forum is 99% sport bike riders and i have a cruiser big fuckin deal we all ride we all have fun so who gives a shit what we ride. A harley rider that doesnt like jap bike riders is like a ford owner cutting someone off just because they drive a toyota.
  20. Well nick im with u on the vodka thing, except mine was vodka and red bull. This song is sad as hell. Lets just say i know someone who was on the brink of suicide and to this day i still dont know what even began to put the thoughts in his head and i still dont know what was so bad in his life that he thought it was worth ending but thank god he came out of his depression and now hes fine.
  21. Now im not trying to be a smart ass or asshole or anything like that this is a real question and i mean no harm by asking it. How can hitting a curb end up being fatal while in a motorcade? Does the motorcade travel fast enough to make a fall fatal? Or do u think there might be a few more details to the accident that havnt been released yet? Like i said im not trying to be an asshole at all. My condolences go out to Cpl. Lozada-Tirado's family and friends, as well as the Dallas police department.
