  1. That was a painful 17 mins.

Officer was out of line, but I'm sure they're probably under some stress - no real excuse though. Some of the officer's commentary was totally unprofessional to put it politely.

And even if the driver was 100% within his rights, he's definitely asking for trouble rolling around with a chick he knows from driving a cab  and offering rides to other strangers in the middle of the night in a shady area of town. 100% legal, but he doesnt appear to be the brightest bulb in the bunch.

Last minor side note, whoever transcribed that video needs a grammar and spell checker. "Anit-cop" and using 'and' instead of 'an' while asking for people to donate money just rubs me the wrong way.

  2. Bill Warner at it again...311mph in 1.5 miles @ Loring Maine

Remember this is a NON-STREAMLINER ('sit on') record. The motorcycle streamliner record is 376mph by Rocky Robinson

What Carmageddon taught the LA Fire Department about bikes

Regardless, it links to the NBC LA article...

    Video in the link...

  4. Have you traced the source to where/who got your number? Non-SSL transactions, using your card at a restaurant where the server swipes your card out of sight, etc?

I'll usually use a credit card if the card physically leaves my sight vs. a debit card.

  5. +1

Deer and other sizeable yet smooshable animals are my absolute biggest fear on a bike...

Hell, I've seen enough videos on Youtube that you can't even guarantee those bastards stay off closed racing circuits, let alone roadways regardless of them being highways or backroads.

  6. I suppose I wouldn't necessarily agree with your con that it'd be more painful going down on a highway. Sure, there's more speed involved, but IMHO if I'm geared up, I'd take a high speed slide over a lot of other types of accidents. What would worry me the most is getting ran over by those left turn grannies with reaction times too slow to move their wrinkled raisin feet to depress the brake pedal.

  7. What makes me sick is the fact that illegal aliens apply for and recieve food stamps, medicad, and unemployment benifits. But I got layed off when a company shut down a facility that turn a 4 million dollar profit last year, and am currently adding $400 to my unemployment checks just to cover the cost of our insurance. And yet the state of Ohio is also trying to push me (and some former co-workers) to take jobs that pay $5 less than what we where getting paid and have to drive nearly 1 1/2 hours away. I don't know anyone that could afford to do that with that big of a pay cut. Sorry to vent but just telling my experiences in the last couple of months.

What do illegals have anything to do w/ the big corporation with mega-profit laying you off?

If the State is pushing you to take a job with a paycut, what do you think they're doing to most others on social assistance (assuming their capable)?

Also, why won't you take that job... I mean, it's work right? It may be a paycut but it's better than being on state assistance right? Or would you prefer to just sit and collect a check for nothing like the illegals that are being bashed in this thread... :dunno:

Yea, I know you're venting, but in the grand scheme, 'illegals' aren't breaking the bank like the wars in the Middle East and tax cuts for the "job creators" (we're not allowed to call them 'rich' or 'wealthy' anymore dontchaknow). So, take solace in the fact that the CEO where you used to work got to keep your and your coworkers salaries as a tax cut for creating those jobs, even if you don't have them anymore.

  8. ^--- Yep. $500 doesn't go very far anymore.

I say you get a $200 motorcycle, and put doors, seats, and a cage on it. Poor man's TRex.

I work with a couple guys that've done it, but I dunno if the race requires it to be titled as a 'CAR' (ie. with 4 wheels) vs. using a two-wheeled 'base'.
