  1. The study recommended lowering "wrong way" and "do not enter" signs posted at freeway ramps to about 2 feet off the pavement to catch the attention of drunken drivers. In many states, they are mounted 7 feet off the ground. "There has been a lot of research that shows impaired drivers are taking their cues from down low," Cooner said.[/QB]
Ummm, how about instead of spending a ton of money putting the signs lower, putting more cops on the street to get the damn drunks off the freakin road. Sure, putting the signs lower might help, but wouldn't that be like telling the community it's ok to drive drunk as long as you look at the signs that are low to the ground????

Plus, depending on how drunk you are, they could plaster the damn sign on your windshield and you still wouldn't see it. Geeeeez!!!!

  3. If there was a sensor that was bad, and you could have that replaced under warranty, why wouldn't you just take it to the stealership and have them fix the problem under warranty? Do you not have warranty on the entire car, or am I missing something here?

Also, I probably would not want to be spraying WD40 around window tint. That's some potent stuff right there.

When working properly, you really can't hear the window motor anyway. You should however be able to hear it click when the window up/down button is pushed. Do you hear it click?

  4. I read somewhere about this guy that works at a Ford dealership and he said that when people come in to get their oil changed at 3,000 miles, he takes their "old" oil and puts it in his vehicles for 3,000 miles. He said that he only buys oil filters; never has to buy oil. I don't know if he was telling the truth or not, but that's what he claims.
  5. For the benefit of those who might not know, Maurice Clarrett did not run well at last week's NFL combine, where former college players show off their skills to NFL scouts. A good showing may increase a player's stock. A bad showing, well....you know.

Anyway, Clarrett posted unusually slow times for a running back in the 40-yard dash. He then decided not to participate in any other skills tests.

What confuses me though is why ESPN didn't emphasize exactly HOW SLOW Clarrett ran. I think the picture speaks a 1,000 words.

    And another funny pic...

  6. Cool. I knew that was coming, but wasn't sure when. Too bad you only get 1 free one per year though. They should let you at least pull 2 a year. Hell, it's your own credit history, you should be able to pull the damn thing whenever you want and not have to pay for it ever.
  7. FYI, the one on West Broad is closing and the price on everything is marked down. Not sure when it started. I stopped by there on my way home from work today. It was a madhouse. There's a LOT of tv's left, several in-home stereo systems, some car audio stuff, and some computer stuff. Everything that's left is what was on display. Still "new" stuff though.

If this is true, you really should have been hauled to jail. You only got a slap on the wrist compared to what you should've been given.
  9. HAHA.. that guy was hiliarious. I couldn't understand a damn thing he was saying.

On a side note, that set of twins that sang the boys 2 men song... two judges said no, two said yes. how the hell does that automatically become an overall no???

  10. The site says it covers MCP, MCSA, MCSE, Cat 5 Cabling. Also says the following:

Following the completion of this program, students have the option of attending our Cisco Certification Program to prepare for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) exams.

It doesn't say, but I'm sure you'd have to fork out more money for the Cisco courses.

  11. I have a set of step bars that I got for the 98 Dodge Ram. These are for a regular cab truck. I don't remember what brand they are. They are rusted on the bottom from all the rock chips, and there is some rust on the top of them, but I'm sure they can be cleaned up and repainted if desired. $25

I have a FMS 3.73 ring and pinion gear for a 99 and up IRS 8.8 rear end. These were in a 99 Cobra for almost 5,000 miles. Very good condition. $50 Firm.

If you have any questions on any of it, let me know.

No trades. Need the cash. Thanks!!

  12. 3 foot crack in it!?!?!?! My sister-in-law just called and said that a sheriff just stopped by her house and gave her an evacuation kit and said that she might need that sometime tonight because of the crack. Anyone else heard or been told this?
