  1. My wife got me a craftsman laser level last year for xmas. This past xmas, I asked her to get me a tripod for it, which she did. When I got the laser level out to test it on the tripod, I noticed that one of the level indicators was missing it's fluid. The booklet for the laser level said that it has a 1 year warranty. About a week after this past xmas, I took the laser level to the store and told them what happened. To my surprise, they exchanged it without any problems.

Last night we were on our way to the West Side. We took 71 N. to 270 W. Around were the first bridge is that you drive under before you get to the Grove City exit we seen a bunch of cars pulled over with there hazard lights on and people breaking a few miles down.

Well come to find out they (about 20 people at the least) all had flat tires and bent wheels because there are HUGE HOLES in the NEW freeway they just re-did that took FOREVER! Be very very careful we hit one going about 15 mph and I thought my car was going to fall apart.

This doesn't make sense. If you were heading 270W, that is the OLD road; they haven't paved that side yet, and yes, 270W is terrible. They paved 270E down in that area this past year. I don't see how the new road could be that bad already.
  3. Yeah, went to Xenia on Saturday. The madison county portion of I-70 was terrible. On the way home that night, we counted 19 vehicles in the ditch. 2 of them, were cars and on their side. One car was on its top. Another was a s-10 sized truck that the wrecker had just turned back over on its wheels from being on its top.

People are just stupid when it comes to driving on snow/ice. They think that just because they are going in a straight line, they can go faster. Some stupid bitch in a black dakota almost made me wreck. I needed to get over to a clearer lane, like the rest of the traffic was doing, and this bitch was at least 3 car lengths behind me. We were all going like 30 mph. I put on my turn signal and started to go over to the other lane. This bitch speeds up and honks at me like i was cutting her off. I had to swerve back over into the lane i was coming from in order to keep from getting hit. I kept hoping that I would see her in a ditch somewhere down the road, but never did, unfortunately. I told the wife that if I would have seen her in the ditch, I would have stopped the car, got out, pointed at her and laughed.

  4. Having a credit card and paying on it for just a couple months isn't going to establish enough credit. It takes a couple years to do that.

The first car I financed was in June of 96, the car was a 96 Firebird Formula, brand spankin new, stickered for $26K, and I was 20 yrs old. Like you, I had absolutely no credit history. I had just started a full-time job fresh out of college making a tad over $9.00 an hour and was living at home. Was I able to finance the car on my own. Yup!! But, I put $12K down. (4k for trade in and 8k in cash) How could they not finance me? I put almost half down on the car. The car payment ended up being $285 a month and my insurance was $211 a month. (I had a couple tickets)

If you were to put the 2K down on a 14K car, you would be financing 12K. I don't know what your income is and what bills you have, but that will play a HUGE part in determining if you will get financed.

Let's say you finance 12K. I can't remember right now what the sales tax is, but let's say 5.75%. If you get a loan w/ 6% interest, your payment would be about $245 a month for a 60 month loan.

Your driving record will obviously play a huge part on your insurance rate. With a totally clean record, if the car is over 5 years old, it shouldn't be as high as mine was. I'm guessing around $150 a month maybe a little higher. Again, just guessing.

So, there are a lot of variables. If you have your sights set on a certain car, I would go and talk to a sales person. You can have them give you a rough idea as to whether or not they could finance you without having your credit pulled. Before making the purchase, assuming you would get approved, call your insurance company for a quote, give them the VIN of that car so that way you will know what the total cost of the loan and insurance are.

    Hope this helps.

  5. I really need to get my house sold very soon, within the next four months. I thought maybe someone here is looking for a house or knows someone who is looking. Contact the realtor if interested. I can answer any questions you have as well.

This Dominion built house is located across from Georgesville Square and sits behind another housing development. This makes it very nice because you can hardly hear the traffic on Holt Rd. Easy walking distance to the stores/restaraunts at Georgesville Square as well as nearby restaraunts like White Castle, McD's, Chipotle, KFC, etc.

A couple things to note about this house that isn't described on the website is that I got the optional 2 feet extra length on the garage (my truck fits in the garage with about a foot to spare), and while the house was being built, I put insulation in ALL of the interior walls and in between the 1st and 2nd floor.

The website below is currently showing the original listing price, but it is in the process of being lowered. The price will be dropped to $189,900.

Please tell anyone and everyone that's searching for a house. Thanks for looking!!!

  6. Funny thing, I posted this from work, drove home and the gas needle worked flawlessly, then the wife and I went out to dinner, which was about a 30 minute drive, and the needle worked flawlessly. Drove back home and all was still fine. Weird.

I was thinking that it could be the float assembly, but wanted to see if anyone else had any other ideas.

  7. I have an issue w/ the gas guage on my car and I'm not quite sure where to begin troubleshooting this problem. It's an 88 chevy nova, SOHC, 5 spd.

When I start the car, the gas needle sits all the way at the bottom, below Empty, but the low fuel warning light is not on (which I know works), and there is at least 3/4 of a tank of gas in the car. After I start driving, the gas needle will start to come up and then will float all over the place. It will constantly float from 3/4 all the way down to below empty then back up, etc. When the gas tank is truely low on gas, then low fuel warning light will come on.

Anybody know what is causing this? How do I fix it?

    Thanks,

    Mike

  8. From NBC's website:

    Franklin County

    Winter Storm Watch:

Issued at: 10:46 AM EST 12/21/04, expires at: 6:39 PM EST 12/21/04

Winter storm watch remains in effect from Wednesday morning to thursday afternoon,

A winter storm system is expected to track from the lower mississippi valley northeast into the upper ohio valley by Thursday morning.

The current expected track of this storm system suggests that heavy snow will be possible Wednesday into Thursday. A wintry mix will be possible, mainly along and southeast of i-71, for a period on wednesday before changing over to all snow.

The potential exists for snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches in the watch area. The exact amount of snow and ice depends on the track and strength of the storm system. A stronger storm or a track farther west could bring warmer air to the area and more mixed precipitation, resulting in less snow. A weaker system or a track farther east cold also bring less snow.

A winter storm watch is issued when severe winter weather is possible, but not imminent. Stay tuned to noaa weather all hazards radio and other media outlets for further details or updates.
