The article is about cars for winter, not which one will do best in the Paris to Dakar, otherwise I would agree with you.

Right before I bought my Land Rover, it was either a land rover or an x5. Both being pretty much BMW products anyway. I ended up going with the LR just because I could get a lot lower mileage one for the same money, and it's a little more offroad capable and not as nice so I wouldn't feel bad about actually taking it off road. So yes, one mark next to Positive Snow Experience, haha.

I've heard many times about how they are pretty terrible offroad and in snow, that's just the first thing that came up when I did a search. I don't have any first hand experience with one. In the original article I posted, it mentions how any vehicle, fwd, rwd, awd, sports car or SUV becomes perfectly drivable in the snow if you put snow tires on.

I don't know if it works anymore, but way back in the day the TV in my room didn't have a receiver, but it was hooked up to the main receiver. So whatever was being watch on that one, I had to watch. So I think it is possible.
