Well you can move shit around and add whatever background/widgets/shortcuts/folders you want, but the way you have the iphone-like dock at the bottom is unique to the samsung and I dont think you can get rid of it without using a home replacement app, or rooting. The hardware is better than the droid in every way. I do still prefer vanilla android over samsung's modified but it's still good I think. I don't think the droid even compares really. Not to be confused with OPP

Most apps are on the market anyway so it's not really a big deal. If you really wanted to load a non-market app you can still do it with ADB.

The Galaxy S phones (captivate, fascinate, oscillate, titillate...whatever) are really nice phones. Only one I don't care for is the Sprint version because it has a keyboard. The AT&T one wont let you install non-market apps, so if I give you an app and tell you to install it from your SD card, you can't, but I'm sure there's a fix for that. Go check it out.

It's a cool little car, just wish it wasnt FWD. I drove a 2.0T Passat over the weekend, reminded me how torque steer is no fun.

Not sure about PC, but my TV will convert anything you watch into 3D, it just doesnt look as good as somethign that was designed for 3d. Ex: MW2 in 3D is kinda cool, but some things pop out too much or not enough, etc. It's even less spectacular on TV channels.

I enjoy listening to rap every now and again. 99% of the time its not because I think its good, but it's funny, kinda like listening to parody songs.
