I just watched this documentary on Google Play last night, and it's one of the most incredible stories I've ever heard. How someone can be so famous, bigger than Elvis, and have no idea is just insane.

A few years ago a friend of mine who's an engineer at a music studio asked me if I knew who Rodriquez was (because I was born in South Africa). I told him I had no idea, but he told me the story and I kind of just said "cool" and forgot about it. I came across this yesterday and decided to watch it. While watching this documentary, the song "I wonder" starts playing and I immediately recognized it, my dad used to play it all the time when I was a kid.
I guess a bootleg copy of his album made it over to Australia also and he was pretty popular there too.
