Ok gang....am I better off doing Colorado and Utah on the way to Vegas and skip NM/AZ from a fun/roads/shit to do point of view. I think it is a no brainer...CO and Utah win. Better roads and scenery, a night in Denver, the salt flats and Tabernacle Choir and all that in Salt Lake City.....
Like I said before, I'd definitely go this way - especially if you've never been before or it's been a long time.
Ohio to Denver sucks. But once you get here, it gets better fast.
I can suggest a few great roads if you'd like- just holla.

Santa Fe was beautiful. I want to go back.
Your favorite upstairs tequila bar isn't there anymore - moved across the street.
We go to Santa Fe for Xmas every year for the past 15 years and really like the area. Usually ride through here 1-2 tiems each summer too.
Santa Fe is a great place to hit up, especially with your wife. Tons of really good New Mexican food, loads of art galleries, oldest city in the USA with some excellent old style architecture in the Square area.
Good riding, mostly north of town. Check out the Valles Caldera off of Route 4 west of Los Alamos. Site of an ancient volcanic eruption. Loads of wildlife walking around and a really decent road to ride as well.
Taos is close and you should check out the old Catholic church at Chimayo on the way up there.
Nice casino - if you're into the whole gambling thing - just north of town at the Hilton Buffalo Thunder resort. Nice hotel as well with decent restaurants, etc.
A better route might be a little more northern through Utah and Colorado with tons more to see. But it might be a bit longer as well if your final destination is San Diego.

12F here right now, so I'm jelly.
Has been warm enough to ride off and on over the past month, couple of 60F+ days, but the hills where the good riding is are under about 8 feet of snow right now.High country is getting slammed with snow this year.
It'll be May soon enough....

Not too sure that any religion is one of peace. They're all more about control of the masses than anything.
Hard to judge Muhammad and others in religion by today's standards. Thing were different back in the day and certainly more barbaric. So his actiopns might not have raised an eyebrow then.
The sooner humans move past religions the better.

Everything is back to normal now - sun is out and the roads clear.
I live in Littleton and we got a whopping 4" this morning. 5 miles to the east, in Highlands ranch, they got like 10". Odd that [places so close got so much while we got next to nothing.

2224 Maple Ave, Zanesville, OH 43701
(740) 453-0789Desert at Tom's Ice Cream Bowl . Kinda of a weird place, looks like 1950 in there because they havent changed shit in 50 years. Ice cream is average, but kids like it. Dragged there by my nieces many times.
It's a chain, but the best steak in town is at Longhorn. Located on Maple Ave - just like everything else - by the Mall. Good bar with decent beer selection.
-
Adornetto's for local pizza on Maple Ave would be good for chow; kids like it and it's not a chain. No beer there though, just soft drinks.
Z'Burg used to have a few decent places to eat, but the chains have pretty much taken over.

Congrats on the promotion and move. I traveled to KC once a moth for around 10 years with work and always liked the place.
They are really going strong with a revitalization of their downtown area, loads of condos and urban style homes are being built in the area just north of downtown on either side of I-70. Dunno if you're into that scene or want a more traditional suburban style home. My guess would be that the schools near downtown suck, but I could be wrong.
One piece of good advice I have is: Jack Stack BBQ's Burnt Ends. Freakin' heaven! They have several locations but the coolest one is by the train tracks near town - on 22nd Street. Great patio out back and nice inside as well. See: http://www.jackstackbbq.com/
Good luck with the move and new job!

Doesn't the darkness mainly come from hose degradation?
Nope - heat. Either from the engine (clutch) or pad / rotor interaction (brakes).
And dirt and crap that gets in, too.

Glad you're still with us.
Get better fast!
