Ha! I work for a packaging company and do machine work on bike parts as a hobby. Can only call it a "business" if it makes money - so it's still a hobby for me. Keeps me off of the streets and gives me something to do all winter though.

We were there on Thursday and Friday as well - might have ridden right past one another and not known it. Only saw rain for about 30 minutes one day and that was it. The fire was out, but you could still smell it. There were 8 of us in total; 1 - ST1100 1 - ST1300 1 - VFR800 2 - CBR600RR 1 - R1 1 - CBR1000 1 - GSXR 750 So we had a little bit of everything.

Just got back - it rained for 1/2 an hour on Saturday and that was it! Very dry, sunny and warm rest of the time. Will post somepics later.

I'll be here in the near future...like today. I'll be in Columbus (Hilliard area) on Wednesday and could drop off pipes for you if needed. Where in Indy are the pipes and where in Ohio / Columbus are you? Eric -

Did ya hear what started the fire? Some 'tard on a Gixxer crashed and it caught fire, resulting in the dry woods catching. Amazing.

I head down there 7-8 times per summer and always post up before I go - you can make the next trip!

Looks like the final count will be four guys from Chicago and two from Indy. We're all going to ride the entire way. Chicago guys are leaving at 4:00 AM to make it to Lexington by 1:00 PM. Can't say I'm jealous of that boring assed ride at all. Just a week away. Pray for dry weather!!!

If we ride all the way to Highlands, NC - which I'd like to do - Greenville is just a little bit past that. You could continue on to there and then meet us later that night for beers, etc.

Where do they live - what town? And don't feel like you have to stay with the "group" - ride where , when and how fast you want to!
