  1. Got the class next week and I am looking forward to it. I should have done this 3 years ago. I have a S&W M&P 40 that I am going to see about carrying when it is all said and done. I dont have enough money for a compact or another gun right now. Any of you know exactly what you do during the class so I can know what to expect?:fruit:

  2. i have the sidi vertigos, the streetburners are bascially a shorter version of them, they are the most comfortable things i have ever worn, i would wear them as shoes everyday if they moved like regular shoes. I have icon boots, i hate icon, i bought them on sale a few years ago, i wore them for one season, worked in them for a few months, and i have holes in them, thin leather, no hard parts, but still heavy, i never trusted them, icon=overpriced parking lot stunting shit

just look at all the hardware on the sidis! sidis have saved my legs twice already

I have had a pair of Icon chukkas (lower version of the field armors) for about 3 years now and I am due for a new pair because the tread on the sole is finally worn out. They are big but they are comfortable and they breath well. I wore them all day when I worked at a bike shop and no problems. I never had to try them out against the pavement tho. Leather seems pretty thick with reinforced ankle/heel area. I would say you get what you pay for. I always hear great things about the Sidis. Go try some on somewhere. Only way to find out.

  3. I was wondering if anyone would catch the tags lol

Yeah I guess I was one of the first people to be really f'ed by the whole economy bs. I remember in beginning of 08 when I just graduated and was looking for a job there were so many to choose from and apply to. Now there is almost nothing. Tougher times are ahead. And hopefully this thread keeps moving so I can up my post count.

I apologize to the moderators for not following the rules.

  4. Hey I just wanted to start a thread announcing that I am going to try and participate on here more often.

I am seriously hating this snow right now, and with my current situation I just might pack up as much stuff as I can hop on the bike and leave all my bills and life behind.. Thats if it was a little warmer. I would just ride south I guess. So how is everyone?

  5. Haha, I have been a social deviant the past few months. Things have not went my way as far as losing my job and absolutely not being able to find anything that could support me financially.

BTW anyone want to buy a JVC SD card camcorder, Verizon Blackberry World Edition (red) 8830, 540 watt amplifier (2ohm stable).......haha sorry I am in need of some cash for the coming months bills. Hell, at this point I am willing to take a loss and sell my bike for what I have left on the loan.

  6. well im 6 foot and weigh 180ish closer to 200 with gear. and i also have a bike not know for lots of power and known for being a bit porky. that being said ive also passed 1000's on the track. and been passed by guys on one wheel on the street. i dont personally need more power. im still afriad of my bike. and thats what keeps me in check and now that ive done 12000 miles on my bike i know that i wont ever NEED the power of a liter bike. though ill probably move up to the 675 or 750 for its torque and street manners.. i prefer twisties.. i ride a 600. some guys prefer wheelys.. they ride liters and some just want to be on two wheels.. it all depends on what you want the bike for..

Well I believe that I am a different breed here. I am 6'2'' 270 and I can make my 600 my bitch. I agree with shadyone as what I think he is trying to say is that it is more fun to ride a slow bike fast pushing it to its limits than it is to ride a fast bike slow. Not saying that everyone rides a literbike slow.

I disagree though on the wheelie comment. My 600 enjoys the front wheel in the air. I don't constitute being able to pull a wheelie at 80 and riding it out over 100mph a great skill (or smart). 40mph is much more fun. But be safe no matter what you are riding.

  7. I seriously felt like I could not walk for about 15 minutes after I got home last night. It was 120 miles from our last stop to my house in one fell swoop. I definitely slept in today! I would be in for a cookout somewhere slightly closer than pittsburgh.

  8. Very good time yesterday! I felt like I was getting whiplash that last hundred or so miles in the dark because we were cruisin so fast! I still liked passing the chopper guys on that hill. Venison sounds intriguing for cookout food but I would definitely like to keep it maybe a 250 mile day, or someone can buy me a new seat for my "baby busa" lol.

  9. I believe that we have seatbelt laws for the sole purpose that the government can make money off of giving tickets out for the infractions. Its personal choice. Stop giving the government control of everything. I dont ride without a helmet, but I will stick up for the guy that desires to ride without one. I might call him an idiot while I do it though. If a helmet law comes into effect then whats next, mandatory jacket, gloves, over the ankle boots, and at least jeans?
