  1. He hasn't posted the high res images yet. This is just the low res that is available at the time of purchase. I dunno dude, I'm pretty sure it's understood that I may make prints from the digital files and if it's not he'd have to visit my garage or house to find out that I violated his copyright. I'm not planning on selling them or anything.
  2. finally went ahead and bought some pictures on his new business model.
  3. These are cycle cat front stands. They lift from the bottom of the forks. I'm told they don't work with newer busa's I picked one of these up last week. Fantastic deal. Much nicer than the generic $40 ones you can usually by. Alfred from oncycles said they originally sold these for $185 and actually cost them $85 to make. Take that for what it's worth.
  4. what size and how much and how much use on them? Also, got any pics of the color/graphics? I may be interested. This was my old one. I'm actually mailing it to Shoei today to have it inspected. I'm really interested in the technology whether it passes or fails. Hell, if it passes, then it'll be a good track helmet. Just scuffed up.
  5. I don't think anyone is gonna stop you, you just don't get to be the guy who talks in the riders meeting in the morning and advertises your website. It's not like a legal matter. However if you were to show up as a roque photographer and compete with the official photographer against STT's wishes I'd say it would be pretty uncool. I feel this is a good time to remember a solid quote from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Just remember to "Be excellent to each other" and we'll all be fine. Monte and all those folks are good people, try to play by the rules even if you probably won't go to jail as a consequence of breaking them. There are a lot of good reasons for having 1 official photographer or photography group at the event.
  6. They actually have solid color rf-1000s for $331. You can find them elsewhere as low as $299. The one I had was the one with sweet graphics though. Can't get it anywhere for less than $427. I'm thinking of going with this one. the exo-700 is cheaper, but I like the fit of the shoei better and already have a couple shields for it. Plus STG gives you a free extra shield with purchase as incentive. Along with no tax and no shipping cost. It's not a bad deal.
  7. completely agree. This is completely reasonable. and what a great opportunity to whore a pic that yota took of me in turn 7 before I decided to throw my monster off the track. I usually bring my camera and 300mm lens and hand it to friends to take pics when I am up there and when I'm up there I try and shoot. Sure we don't get as consistent a product as the official photographer and sure we sneak in and use the photo holes in the fence sometimes but I don't complain if they tell me to move and I certainly wouldn't try and sell the pics. I think the key is to remember that if you aren't the official photographer you are treading on someone else's turf so just be respectful. Further, be smart, if you do work something out with someone privately where you are selling the pics be aware that you are breaking the rules and keep it to yourself.
  8. I crashed my shoei rf-1000 at mid oh a weekend before last. I really liked she shoei except the fogging and the price tag. I tried on an exo-700 last night. I liked it as well. I didn't like the fit as well as my shoei but I have heard they don't fog and I hear they are equal in protection. The guys at Sport bike track gear all wear the exo-700 on the track. I think the exo-700 will be my next helmet. Much easier to replace a $150 helmet. I have to admit though, the shoei rf-1000 did its job superbly. I hit my head decently and no concusion, the shield stayed on and it didn't crack, at least not visibly. It's pretty scuffed up though. I'm gonna send it off to shoei and see what they tell me. Even if they inspect it and say it is no good to wear, I'm interested to see what information they give me.
  9. I'm just gonna go to a 180 tire and stick too it. I just want to get as close to the right formula off the bat.
  10. OK, I need some help from all of you Gixxer savants out there. I have some 190 race take off tires to run on my GSX-R750 but I have 5.5inch rear wheels. I want to find a 6 inch rear wheel that I can run the 190 tires on and maintain the proper profile. What I need to know is what bikes have the wheels I'm looking for. I know hayabusas and GSXR 1000s have 6 inch rear wheels but I don't know what years will easily fit my 2003 750. Also, I don't know if other bikes have 6 inch wheels too, maybe the TL1000. So any information would be great. Other things I'd love to know are, are the rotors the same offset, do the cush drives swap, that sort of stuff. I just don't know and I'm willing to bet a lot of you do. Lastly, if anyone wants to unload a 6" wheel that they know will work for what I'm looking for let me know how much you want. I also have an extra front wheel with rotors I need to get rid of so we could probably work out some sort of trade if you need a front. Thanks in advance to all of you.
  11. Yep, went down in "madness" or top of the esses. Total rider error. I was trying to get around one of those pesky liter bikes that would pass me in the straight but go slow in the turns. I thought maybe I'd poke around and get him at the bottom of the esses. Well.... that was a bad idea. Ran wide, got close enough to the grass and spooked myself and stood the bike up. Then I thought I'd ride it out through the grass. As I went down the hill I couldn't seem to get away from the concrete wall so I hit the front brake and ditched it. Yes.... I know, lots of mistakes all at once. This was about my 4th track day so I'm still a little green. I'm told I went over the handle bars and into the grass and slid into the wall while the bike followed me. I broke my collar bone and dislocated my shoulder. I was riding the monster because I was trying to get the supsension on the gixxer dialed in, and because I really love riding the monster. The bike felt great and totally under control, unfortunately a little rider error and oops crash. Anyway, here is a pic one of my friends snapped of me railing through the exact turn I wrecked in a little earlier. The monster is not in bad shape. Handle bars are bent up, and one of those pretty rear sets is bent as well. I think I can repair the rearset and find a set of handlebars relatively cheap. Otherwise it's just full of grass and mud.
  12. I'd say it's done. Now I just need to keep it in 1 piece this weekend.
  13. OK, I removed the big one's for now. I'll fix later.
  14. sorry some of those are really high res, didn't realize that when browsing my photobucket

  16. That's pretty sweet. I'll have to save my pennies. Getting this track bike together has not been cheap.
  17. Thanks man. Flounder, I've considered getting a camera but haven't yet.
  18. I want to go as fast as I can while still working on the fundamentals. I generally feel pretty comfortable but I have a ways to go before I am riding like you WERA guys. Hopefully by the end of the summer I can go out in advanced and be comfortable. We'll see how it goes. If I see you out there, I'll grab you so we can run a few laps together.
  19. Put scraping the pucks on the ground is so satisfying.
  20. Nice, that thread needs to come back! I'm bringing my camera with the 300mm lens. Some of my friends will at least shoot the carousel, maybe some other choice spots if I can talk them into walking a little.
