  1. I made the Friday meet and greet at Capital City Scooters and the ride. What a great time. What I didn't realize, this is mostly 150 and 200cc scoots. Thank god I put a pipe on my Aero 80, I literally wouldn't have been able to keep up with out the extra 10mph on my top end. That's right, she does about 52mph on the flats. The ride was nearly 100miles!!!

Anyway, Here are some pics in a few Facebook albums I made. They are public so you don't have to have an account to view them.

  3. He wasn't kidding when he said quality. Unfortunately, even used, a little rich for me or too obscure for me to see a use for until I need to buy tools in anger at retail price. Actually, truth be told, I'd just be afraid to go over there with cash in hand, I'd spend everything in my pocket. GLWS.

  4. Man, what a great story, great idea and above all, shows what a bunch of caring folks can pull off. I've never met Chris officially, but he needs to be applauded for his efforts.

A lot of faces I recognize. Really cool deal, guys.

And, BAD ASS CAFE RACER!!! That thing is sick!

Thanks Brian. Hey, did you get my PM about the photos, send me an email address if you want any better quality. joseph.hansen@gmail.com

  6. The Roku has better out of the box features IMO. The apple tv NEEDS to be jailbroken to even compete with other media players. Yeah it does AirPlay but that's really the only feature it had over a Roku and that's coming from an apple fanboy. Download plex media server on a network pc/Mac and let it organize your media. By far one of the best media streaming apps out there. It took my 300GB of video and 50GB of music and downloaded all the movie posters, descriptions, ratings, correct names and organized it to be displayed/played on the Roku or any other device on the network. Also plays pretty much all formats.

I might have to check out plex media server. I agree about the roku but I guess I'm just really integrated (in bed) with apple iOS devices. When Airplay first came out I was sold. I don't use the stuff for much else other than movie rental occasionally and netflix viewing.

I apologize ahead of time if this is a repost, I searched for scootaque and found nothing. However, My dad and I will be participating in this ride and some of the events this weekend and I figured some of you with scooters might like to join.

If you've never been on a ride with multiple scooters, you don't know what you are missing. It's more fun than you'd think.

    I'll be riding this.

My dad will be on this.

Thankfully he has removed the ridiculous windshield.

  8. hey asshole, ask before you use my blockquoter. :)

Have you considered rolling your own? I've built a few HTPC's with networked cable tuner and Windows Media Center, only catch is it costs about $500 instead of the hundy or so for ATV. If you're interested I have no problem hooking you up with a parts list.

Not really apples to apples (no pun intended) in this comparison. I ran an MythTV for about 4 years before home DVRs became popular. I still haven't seen much that is as good as that software. I can only imagine it's better at this point.

  9. I have 2 1080p apple TVs, 1 720p apple TV and an airport express. I like the interface and simplicity a lot but the main thing that I really love. AirPlay. I've got a huge music collection and being able to stream it everywhere including to my garage is fantastic.

Not to mention streaming youtube and other content from your iPad or iPhone.
