  1. Usually I'd say that's dumb, but with 1.2million in medical costs I'm ok with the state ponying up a bit.

After all, our taxes are us paying for a service. If the roads were privately owned and we paid some sort of membership we'd also expect the roads to be safe. Having said that, if he didn't incur all those bills and profitted from this then I'd have a different opinion. Sounds like all of the money went to the hospital and or insurance company.

  2. When ever we say 150 we end up riding way more than that :D, plus that just the loop without the 100 mile we slab to reach the meet spot. Ryan do make it, and bring the gopro with suction mount too

Are u in columbus? We might not be heading down south much since we can't finish the ride on time before its dark :(

I can bring a gopro HD as well. If we leave at 12:30 we just need to get back to interstate by 5ish, slabbing it back in the twilight isn't so bad. leaving much earlier is gonna be very cold.

  3. I get 15-19mpg with my Frontier. That's depressing enough' date=' without the added insult of tracking my shit mileage.[/quote']

You are looking at this the wrong way. you stand the most to gain. 1mpg for you saves more $$$ than 1mpg for a prius owner.

Not that I care, it's just interesting to see what mileage different vehicles get.

  4. I have used it for my car since I bought it new almost 2 years ago and its interesting to look at the MPG changes over time as the engine breaks in and the effects different seasons have. Tried using it for the bike but it was just too much of a pain to pull out the phone with gear on and I gave up.

    And your fuelly name is?

  5. Sounds like youll want the larger ipad 4 with the A6 processor. The mini is great for portability, but sounds like you could use the extra horsepower if you plan on doing some light media editing. The mini will probably be a christmas present for the wife since the smaller form factor is perfect for her small hands and portability in her purse.

Problem with the other tablets is nobody has really perfected the GUI quite like Apple. Apple may be more expensive and not have faster/lighter/cheaper attributes, but theyre overall package from the use of the laptop to itunes and App store blow Android out of the water.

There really is no comparison. The only people you'll hear countering this opinion are people that bought droid hardware and are trying to justify their cheaper purchase to themselves. I know a fair number of people that have owned both droid based and iOS based products and every single one of them prefers apple after owning both.

  6. Here's some reading on the subject.

Personally, I would go with the iPad 3 and save some $$ (even better, get a refurb unit though Apple). Doesn't sound like you have a need for the extra horsepower on the 4.

On an unrelated note, your daily commute from Mason to UC must suck :(

If you have other iOS hardware the iPad 3 uses the legacy connector also, so no need for a converter.

  7. From what I've read the Ipad Mini, although lacking in value, hardware bullet point per hardware bullet point is still a much nicer device than the droid tablets. Having said that, I have an iPad 3 with the retina display and it's an amazing tablet. The display alone is worth it. I guess what I'm saying here is, droid tablets are cheap apple knock offs. ;)

My 2 cents, if you don't mind the added cost of the bigger iPad, the retina display alone makes it worth the extra cost, as it's great for photos but also makes text look amazing. if you want to save a few bucks or require a smaller tablet, than the mini looks to be a great device. My only thought on the mini is I bet their will be a retina or at least HD version next year.

  8. Alright, I'll play. I put question marks to the things I wasn't sure of, and some things I didn't even want to guess.

Keychain on tank of 2006 Ducati Monster S2R 1000

    2003 Suzuki GSX-R750 spedo

valve stem, could be any bike/scoot

1983 Honda Aero 80 idiot lights

    1983 Honda Aero 80 speedo/fuel gauge

    2008 Ducati Monster 695 tank?

    Aero or GSXR keys?

    2001 Kawasaki KLR650

    2003 Suzuki GSX-R750 CRG adjuster

    ohlins rear shock off ???

swingarm spool or missing frame slider?

    2003 Suzuki GSX-R750 CRG lever

    arrow exhaust off ???

    ohlins front suspension off ???

Rear brake master cylinder, maybe the 2006 Ducati Monster S2R1000

good guesses, some are correct, some are not. I think I'll follow this up after a bit of time with some wide angle shots revealing parts and bike together.

keep the guesses coming, unless you are Dave and already know all my bikes pretty well.
