  1. Hoblick doesn't have that bike anymore.... someone else is enjoying his nice cushy seat!
  2. Ok, good! I felt like I should make an apology speech when I got to the parking lot and thirty people were standing around waiting.... And um yeah, the naysayers really pissed me off in the other thread. Don't talk crap when you have never even been on a ride out there with those guys! Usually I'm with you, though..... I have a girlfriend who always makes me wait cause she pushes it too late and I hate that cause I'm normally very punctual and I don't want someone to waste my time. The Coshocton guys are cool. I was leery of them from what they post on the board but when we were out there, I felt in good hands. Little ballsy but that's alright. You crazies can have your front and I'll try to gain experience in the back and hopefully some day I'll be up there with ya
  3. I know you guys have already moved on to another topic but i just wanted to apologize for being late and holding everyone up. I overslept and thought I could still make it out to the ride in time. Anyway, I'm usually pretty punctual and promise I will be for future rides. Carry on!
  4. Gosh, they're cute but we've already rescued three kitties! lol, one of my coworkers refers to them as our herd of cats
  5. I thought you were just at Gingerman over the last weekend?
  6. haha, SUCKS, doesn't it! Mike always holds it over my head that I'm older.... Happy Birthday Carie!
  7. Hey! What is this trickery?? You put 'Engineer' in the title of this thread, so I never bother to open it.... now that I do, I see you folks are talking about sex toys and probing??
  8. Still no date? My weekends fill up fast, folks, you gotta lock me down early!
  9. Ok, where to start.... it's me, so I'll start with food! The pretzel nuggets were pretty good but I also hadn't eaten much and was STARVING. Plus i don't think I would want an entire serving, so I'm glad I just got to share with others. Also, I thought the ride was great, except for the gravel. I understand that you want to keep up with the person ahead of you but I've heard over and over to ride within your own limits and that's what I try to do. Unfortunately, it kept me in the back third of the group but that's ok! I've only been riding for a little over a year and I had never been on Coshocton roads, so I'm cool with keeping toward the back. I thought that Adam, Seth and the guys did a good job with a huge group and they made it work. They mentioned splitting up the invite next time, maybe having CLE people and then CBUS people on another day but we did alright with the big turnout. I see why Max Power wants to warn the newer riders about this type of ride. If you are trying to rush and feel like you need to keep up with the person in front of you, mistakes are more apt to be made. Cheech already said he didn't know what he was getting himself into, and I think Max just wanted to throw a warning out there. Anyway, we can all do whatever makes us comfortable as an individual. Max doesn't have to ride with a big group in Coshocton and others don't need to feel like they shouldn't ride in a group. Hopefully each person will keep the few helpful suggestions in mind when they are out there... Oh, and as a last word, I totally agree with JRM about not being comfortable being out there alone. I took a trip down to Hocking by myself later in the season last year and I was not pleased with the thought that if I went down, no one would have a clue as to where to even start looking for me except 'in Hocking'..... I'll always go with at least one more person, if it's a twisty or spirited ride.
  10. Hey! Hope your birthday party was good.... Does your friend Mike want the pics I took of his little adventure?

  11. I took some pics too, but I was going to see if Mike wanted me to send them to him or what. I would want pictures if I had a mistake. Memories!, lol
  12. It does suck but I've honestly seen worse odds on other rides. I would say we did pretty good for having 30 bikes on this ride. I was nervous about the rain washing up all that gravel on the road, plus just how crazy the curves are, so I was trying to stay to the back third of the pack.
  13. You guys made it home pretty fast, too. I only had 300 miles on my trip odometer for today.... it feels like so much more!
  14. Cheech, I'm really sorry to hear about your lowside.... You know, I was late meeting you guys at Iron Pony this morning, so I went back home to get directions. I thought about trying to follow you folks up 79 and 541 but I have also learned the hard way that when I'm pushing myself too much, bad things tend to happen. On the other hand, if I had, I may have found you on the road. As it is, I'm thankful a fellow rider was able to help you out. Hope you don't disclude yourself from future rides.... I know that the cbus group voiced concern as to why you (they thought) turned for home and they feel terrible about the mistake.... Again, glad you are ok.
  15. I feel like I need a t-shirt that says 'I survived Coshocton's Devil Road' Nice ride today guys. Glad everyone is home in one piece and seems to have had as good of a time as I did. Nice to meet more friends from the board today
  16. You rock E, thanks for the thorough reply
  17. Nice! Have fun finding something with two wheels that will undoubtedly be even MORE fun to drive!
  18. I honestly don't know my blues but I just want to say that I'm relieved we are being more mindful to play blues for this Meet n Greet
  19. The last thing we need is less AMA action in central Ohio. I hope they get their act together soon, because, from my very amateur opinion, MidOhio seems to be a decent track and worth keeping in the forefront.
