  1. good point. i just assumed to take that stuff on and off came natural. but if this indeed the case, pass on the plastics and invest in more tires and trackdays.
  2. i wasn't talking about the beat down cracked and broken used... more like the ones that have been through a few seasons but are still good condition and the rider doesn't want to race anymore or has a new bike and no need for the old one anymore. that kind of used. if they are broken or cracked then obviously yea don't buy those.
  3. is that in the park area? if it is then yes i have been that far, i just don't think you were with us for that one time nick.
  4. i can understand picky about street fairings, but these are only track plastics. they are going to get beat up. i dont get it, but its her money.
  5. if she's going to be concerned about nicks, chips and paint quality then she needs to reevaluate why she needs track plastics.
  6. im surprised nick let you no jacket guys ride with the group... get a jacket at least next time if you're taking those roads. is that the "usual" route nick? don't remember that section of road, of course its been a long time.
  7. he said one of the instructors he knows builds engines and/or would take it from him or looking on wera and ebay.
  8. too bad for steve, switched from a yamaha to suzuki and his engine blows... imagine that.

    Wtf

cool idea from an engineering standpoing. but its not marketable at all.
  13. race 1 or 2? im assuming 2 since you posted today
  14. once you go track you will never look at the streets the same. you have been warned
  15. im assuming this is DJ kit correct? First off what do you have on your bike to justify the stage 2 kit? I believe you should be running stage 1. Also try running it with the choke full on, if it runs better with the choke on then you will need to dive in a do some tuning. Sounds like it needs tuning either way. Does it idle fine? sitting still or is it rough, sound like it has a mind of its own? If those are true you most likely have a vacuum leak. If you are unsure you can spray some brake cleaner around the boots between the cylinder head and carb mating surface. If the idle changes you have a leak, also don't forget the vacuum lines (the ones for carb syncing) Also check your plugs and make sure your spark in your coils are ok, i know its not related to what your mechanic did but you never know on the install. But check your plugs and make sure they are not fouled from the rough running. here is the carb bible
  16. depends on the dyno really. dynojet dynos read about on average 10-15% higher than true HP. chris-- im sure thats not all the juice available in your engine, just need the monies dude. Send it off to reuben for a engine tune up to get even moar!
