  1. true but with it being mothers day weekend the turnout wont be so great. plus if there is a bigger group than expected then we can just split into smaller groups
  2. looking to ride down this coming weekend (May 10th) either saturday or sunday, whatever the weather dictates... anyone who wants to go feel free to put in route ideas. preliminary thoughts: 33 down to the general area route 374, 180, 664, 56, and maybe some others... i have a friend thats parents live in the area so i will be giving them a call sometime this week to find out what the good roads are. ill be posting this on some other forums as well so hopefully we can get a decent turnout
  3. not meant to be rude in any manner just getting an idea of pricing can you beat this?: http://tripageled.com/main.html click on products, then your choice of manufacturer and scroll down to find powder coat pricing. you ship the part to them and they powder it and return it. just to give a ballpark of pricing for those too lazy to look: $25 - Rearsets $15 - Gas cap $15 - Levers $15 - Sprockets (front and rear) $40 - Exhaust can (single) $60 - Exhaust can (double) $40 - Exhaust mid pipe Done in HI-TEMP black $35 - Brake calipers (assembled) $20 - Brake calipers (disassembled, pots and seals removed) $50 - Case covers (both). Seal will be replaced by us. $25 - Passenger pegs (must be done prior to led install, oven will melt them!) $15 - Upper triple tree (Honda logo sticker will be removed) $125 - Swingarm (chain adjusters and axle will not be done) ok well that is almost everything they do... anyways prices include the return cost of S/H
  4. better story with pics -from roadracing world still hopeful to race motogp this summer with some testing
  5. i have yet to find a vid of the wreck just pictures... they said there was no bone or ligaments left so it was really there only option
  6. where do you guys keep these said police batons and ball bearings? i know on my sportbike there really is no place to put this stuff...
  7. yup it was last weekend or two weekend ago first story second story
  8. a dial gauge will tell you if there is fluctuations in your rotor. a good rotor wont have any fluctuation. so if you put your rotors through a dial guage and everything is all good then you know that is not your problem...
  9. simple green worked for the browing on my bike. also is there a place that i can do a dyno run to get some starting numbers? anyone know of another dyno day coming up? would the guy who sponsored it be able to do a run or two for a member cheap? or some contact information (phone number, address, etc) would be great as well looking to start engine modding as that is the only thing left to dive into...
  10. i told my mom that i would get all the gear BEFORE i bought the bike and took the MSF course BEFORE i bought the bike. and when i finally bought the bike i made her follow me around to places to get her used to me being on a bike... she still will worry like any mom does but she seems more at ease about it now after some time. an added bonus is that she buys all my safety gear because she doesn't want me riding without it... i picked it and as long as she was down with the price she chipped in... she even helped pay for my full suit...maybe im a momma's boy but who wouldn't turn down the opportunity for freeish gear?
  11. yea i do...full leathers i always feel kinda goofy when im walking through my dorm to my bike lol good suggestions on the road ill have to try some out
  12. what time did you drop by? i do indeed have a full cover for it! it just hasn't been washed in a while so i figured that it could use a good washing from the rain the other night lol. i generally always cover it but its been dirty for a while now because of all the traveling i have been doing. i will definitely keep an eye out. too bad that the only real good roads are south near hocking. anyone know of any good roads here? the one i go to here is mills rd. straight up 315 left on home rd and right on the road right after the bridge and your there. pretty much the only thing i got right now any better suggestions in the area? do we have a place on the board that we can post where we found good roads to ride? and maybe put conditions of the road such as pavement, traffic, cop activity, etc...
  13. lol dont you know everything revolves around campus!?! yea i was a little out of it when i wrote that (too many midterms to study for in one night)... i just assumed it was the one on high st because when i was driving around there were a bunch of bikes sitting in the corner just waiting around

  17. i actually like it, its more of a safety thing for me. it helps keep me visible at night to other cars. and not to mention the rims themselves are pretty scraped up from who knows what so its just a pretty band-aid

  19. no that would be my dad's toy thanks for the comments so far guys
  20. so when i first bought the bike it looked something like this: i really didnt like it at all it was "gun metal grey" but it was really just grey... so i made it a project over winter to strip it down and paint it. and here are the pictures showing that progress. first the idea, a rossi test bike something i hadn't seen before so i knew it would be a one of a kind (im sure there are some others out there but you get my point): then my photoshop magic (just to get a little taste of color and some decal placement): then start tearing down as you can see in this photo there was a lot of clean up work to be done to the bike underneath the skin, i redid the rimtape cleaned a bunch of grease and gunk off the engine case re routed hoses correctly, and a completely new electric harness throughout the bike this was all correcting the mistakes from the owner before me. things that i put on were new 520 vortex sprockets and EK chain because the shop i took it too said the chain was going to fall off any second...he got my attention real quick: and the pieces i kept in our basement room, and painted outside in the snow: putting her back together: first stage of decals: finally the decals i ordered from europe (they were too good of a deal to pass up): the only thing left to do is a 01 tail conversion to clean up my undertail and cometically it will be all done o yes and one more note: this was all done with spray paint from autozone. if you get really close you can tell but if your just standing looking at it its not noticeable at all. if you see me around OSU campus feel free to stop by and say hi!
