  1. im sure we can find some problems with other bikes instead of focusing on the R6... lol
  2. its actually pretty easy, you can take off the clutch cover without draining the oil to inspect your fibres and steels. its almost a 100% positive you'll need new fibres, but the steels usually are ok. if the steels are blueing or warped you'll need to replace them all, regardless if just one is bad and the rest are ok, same with fibres. inspecting first will allow you to order the right parts off the bat, and save you some money from possibly ordering too many parts. anyway, the ohio rider how to got lost with the crash of 09, but here it is on an R6 site. i know different machines, but the idea is the same: http://www.r6live.com/r6-how-guides/11686-how-replace-your-clutch-99-02-r6.html
  3. pretty accurate here, the 06 had bearing issues that were resolved in 07. 08 i think is the best year by far because in 09+ they were stiffed with emissions which caused yamaha to cut back on power with the ecu, of course a reflash at jett-tuning in cali would solve that problem. but out of the box, i would have to vote for 08.
  4. waiting on xrays to determine if he's ready for Sachsenring THIS WEEKEND http://superbikeplanet.com/2010/Jul/100714a.htm
  5. on a serious note... apparently 4 weeks is the "norm" recovery time for this type of operation... crazy.
  6. also im sure there will be an ass ton of cops in construction zones after the death of that worker last night or night before.
  7. i think that was probably a dealer issue, not corporate yamaha. if you were a prior owner of the 06 R6 when the "tach-gate" issue came out, Yamaha gave you two options. one was full refund, or..... deal with it? i just forgot what the other option was when i started typing...
  8. that was for the 06, it was corrected on late production 06 and 07+
  9. i would but he wouldn't believe anything i say.
  10. i just painted my previously raven 07 white with black belly pan, if you want pics let me know.
  11. stickers can come off, we have an AMA painter on the board. you have your resources. i may not know the story but you're never stuck with something if you don't like it.
  12. i dont listen to miley cyrus sorry.
  13. no "broseph" just don't wanna waste my time or energy on peeps like you. but seriously, have fun with that bike and get to the track
  14. btw there's nothing "limited" about your bike except for flaming stickers. just thought you'd like to know
  15. o sorry this explains everything, i'll retract everything i said. you need more LED's and some flames with skulls to get rid of the throaty noise and make your bike go faster. and make sure to get tinted lens covers so it'll go even faster since you've already got those sweet smoked flushies dude.
  16. edit nvm guys who ride flaming bikes won't understand normal bike talk.
  17. there is no power with the exup, its a noise deal, just extra weight. plus any aftermarket slipon you'll get does not have an exup valve to connect to in which they require you to move it anyway, including top brands such as leo vince, akrapovic, and even yamaha's own Graves brand.
