  2. Ok, ok twist my arm.....I'll take February. Send me the payment info.
  3. Hey Casper, is May still available?
  4. Yeah I know man, sorry. I guess i got the winter blues early this year, I haven't been feeling very social.

  5. Definitely an unfortunate incident but why the hell would you tag this story as "Cops hate motorcycles"? That's ridiculous and uncalled for.
  6. If you're interested i have a brand new 120/70 zr 17 Pirelli Supercorsa Pro front tire with the sticker still on it I'm selling for $150, they retail for $170+.
  7. Hell, I'm not that much of a Ducati snob. If the department would pay me to ride a Gixxer I'd be all over it! Unfortunately this is what Columbus is spending your money on.........then again maybe you all would prefer officers on these. I took these pics last week in the sally port at HQ.
  8. Each state is different, here in Ohio a police vehicle has to be marked to pull you over, that Suzuki is clearly marked and would be ok for traffic stops. As far as i know Columbus dosen't have a Busa or a sportbike program but i can tell you this, I'm definitely going to look into it!
  9. Nope it's perfectly legal, the courts recognize that an officers testimony/word to another officer is acceptable as prima facie. Just like when the OSP airplane catches someone speeding on the freeway, he's not the one writing the ticket but the issuing officer will put his name on it as a "witness".
  10. I was the first responder on that scene, beat the medic there. Stood three feet from him and looked straight into his open dead eyes. The impact nearly cut him in half, one of his legs was forty feet away from him in the grass severed at the hip. The medics put down kitty litter to keep his blood from running into the storm drain. Some of you might not like reading what i just posted and may even think I'm wrong for doing so. If the thought of what i just described sinks in to someone here and gets them to slow down on city streets then it just might save a life. The fact of the matter is that it's the worst wreck I've seen in eight years on the department. The rider and his boss had just left work, his boss was in front heading south in a pickup. The rider decided pin the throttle and buzz the pickup in the center turn lane, he was traveling at a very high rate of speed when his ball cap started to blow off(his helmet was strapped to his seat). When he reached up with his left hand to catch his ball cap the bike went into a high speed wobble. It went left of center, hit the left curb, blew a fork(a spring and oil were left by the curb) he somehow kept the bike upright as it veered back into the north bound lane where he hit the semi truck head-on at the left front wheel. The impact broke the semi's wheel and shoved it back at a 90 degree angle, that's why the semi ended up where he was, not because he was turning. Blood was sprayed down the side of the semi and parts of the Gixxer were everywhere, it literally looked like a bomb went off. His boss stated that he had just got the bike two months ago and was always riding "crazy", his boss said that everyone at work told him he needed to get rid of the bike before he killed himself. The bike was registered to his girlfriend with whom he had just had a baby. Everyone please, slow down and be careful, it's not worth it. We have enough problems with car drivers trying to kill us without adding to the problem.
  11. That's cause you're never around anymore you work-a-holic.
  12. Thanks guys and thanks to Lizard 1 i got some cool presents for the Duc; SharkSkinz a DP slipper and Acculine rearsets. Happy birthday tooo meeee..........Happy birthday tooo meeee!
  13. Oooooh man! That's so going on the Desmohio board!
  14. Ohio sucks......seriously, the "best" roads are an hour or two east-south east and are no where as good as what you're use to. The up side is that Columbus is only an hour from Mid-Ohio raceway, one of the best tracks around and they have a multitude of track days all summer that are sponsored by STT(sportbiketracktime). Welcome to the board and hope to see you at the track.
  15. Lizard 1, i sent you a PM did you get it?
  16. I went down one tooth in the front on my 1098 and it didn't really lose much on the top end. However, i just did a track day at Grattan last weekend and i can tell you it definitely kicks ass on the track with the lower gearing. Here's a link to the gearing commander site, It'll give you an idea of how chain and sprocket changes will affect your bike. Just enter your bike make and model then click set presets and don't forget to change it from metric to sae before you start. http://www.gearingcommander.com/
  17. Yeah, that's john not me. Actually he's selling his 1098 and going back to a 600, I'm picking up all his track/race parts for my bike.
  18. http://www.sportbiketracktime.com/ Great people and Monte is funny as hell.
  19. Thanks man........what made you swap the ape for the king?
  20. Welcome aboard, nice bike. Was that you at Grattan last Monday?
  21. I'll be there if the weather's good.
  22. Give Wheel Medic a call, they're here in Columbus. http://www.theroundhouse.ws/
  23. I wrapped my Termi race pipe because it was cooking my leg, it made a huge difference. Keep in mind that the materials are expensive(about $170 through Jegs) and it's a bitch to do(it took me two days). If i had to do it over again I'd just send the pipe off and have it Jet-Hot coated, it's about the same price and not nearly the PITA as wrapping. I'm not sure it's as good at heat reduction though. http://gallery.ducatispot.com/ten6/ten6_headerwrap/
  24. Nope, hand signals are are for bicycles and motorcycles built before 1968.
