    Ride 7/27

I think it would be kinda funny if a bunch of Columbus guys showed up and nick didn't. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
  3. I normally sleep right through storms unless my wife wakes me up cause she is freaking out. She hates storms and I'll go outside on my patio and watch them.
  4. Yeah finding the resource to get the clutch hub nut off was fun. Then putting it back on was even better, it took three people to hold various tools to keep it from spinning. Making anything personalized is always, if not during then after when you have the finished product.
  5. they haven't found any other bikes that you can do it on as far as I know. It's a fun little way kawi can jump on the competition. Although it should be done form the factory.
  6. Basically you put a wire or even a paper clip in one of the connectors on the bike and you get a free 5-10 horses. The ecu acts like a soft rev limiter around 13,000-15,000 rpm. This website explains it pretty well http://www.i-hacked.com/content/view/165/45/ You can do it on 05 and up 6r models.

So this ride is still a go???? Nick where are we meeting at?
  8. So we didn't get finished yesterday but were close. I had the flu or somethin and wasn't much help. We didn't get the FI light fix install and started the bike up. It sounds just the way I wanted it too. Should be finished by thursday since I work today and tomorrow 8am-9pm. All we have left to do is put the tail back on, tighten the chain, and do the jumper mod. Dustin or I will post pics and a video when it's finished.
  9. romulus22 are you still at the saturn dealership. I thought you were just replacing the front sign but it looks like the whole building.
  10. The valve can stay in but you have to know how to weld. As far as the melting part I also heard about that, which is why I got extra heat shielding and the header wrap. I have seen people go both ways on how the exhaust performs and sounds and I love the look. Plus from what I have heard online the exhaust sounds good. Should have it all buttoned back up tonight and will post up the final pics. Then I just have to go get it dyno tuned.
  11. you wont be able to see it at all once the tail is buttoned up. Not a bad idea though might still do it. Dustin would know enough about most bikes to help you out.
  12. Thank you so much for your help and the space Dustin. I'm hoping we can get done by 7:30 tomorrow. It's been a blast so far and I can't wait to ride it.
  13. but when we all post in a row there's so much kawi green. It just looks right
  14. and the easiest place to get stock oil and filter is???
  15. what oil & filter do you prefer in your bike? Dustin I have the star and the exhaust today, I'll drop them off at your place after work. The signals might not get in by sunday we'll see, everything else should be in. Sounds like it'll be a fun day
  16. I actually was on KF before I even had the bike doing research on it. I wanted to find out what problems and fixes the 05 zx6r had so I could buy all the parts so after I got the bike I could fix everything before it broke. I use KF mainly for fact finding and tips specific to my bike. On here it's a little nicer since I'm actually getting to know the members.
  17. yeahI need to look farther ahead in the corners. I almost went into the corn field, I was hoping you didn't notice. I wondered what the guy in the truck was doing, wanted to give his dog away??? As far as mods brad, it looks like we're gonna do them sunday starting around 10:30. Maybe with the weight drop from parts I can stay on the road.
  18. most likely at Dustin's when he has the free time. I don't know if we are gonna be doing the pipe also. I wanna make sure that I get the pipe in correctly and with the proper heat shielding so the tail plastics doesn't melt. I'll have to talk more with Dustin about everything I've read to correct the problem besides getting a custom pc3 map for it. If we do all the things I got this weekend it should make for a fun weekend and a completely different feeling bike. But man the HB exhaust makes the bike look so clean.
  19. yeah but the fat kid is always good for covering home plate. Yeah I have a list of mods and I wanted to get the exhaust on soon but I wanted to do the others first so... Yeah I got almost all of them, decided to hold off on the DB screen, damper, seat cowl, and stands for now. besides I'd rather have the bike apart once and get everything in than to keep taking it apart.

    oh I gotcha He's compensating
  21. I can get the directions and pics of an install from KF for the shift star if that'll make things go easier. Let me know if you need me to bring any tools. or beverages for that matter. there's actually some ok roads out by eaton/miami university area. At least they look decent from the map I'll have to check them out in person.
  22. lemme get the other parts on my bike first and then I'll think about that. Everything should be in today or tomorrow. Dustin when are you gonna have some free time I got the shift star, pc3, flush mount signals, and a new battery. Shift is probably the only thing I can't do myself.
