Snow? Rain? what are these things of which you speak?

hire a buyer's advocate instead of a Realtor. A buyer's advocate is a licensed realtor, but are not bound by the same "don't ask don't tell" Ohio rules of selling a house. For instance, a realtor is legally not allowed to tell you it's a shitty neighborhood and the schools are full of crack heads. Breaker panel, if it's not labeled be concerned. If the main breaker box has pushmatic breakers, leave! Anything built prior to 1985 and not remodeled, has a 100% chance of containing asbestos in the joint compound and mastics.

I once worked for Yum! Brands (owner of Taco bell and others) and had to go watch the beef be prepared for all the brands (Taco bell, KFC, Long john silver, Pizza Hut). I can honestly say that in 2005 it was real beef with other shit added to it, and not 65% other shit

always get a kick out of HD riders referring to other bikes as "metric" considering many if not most, HDs are mostly metric fasteners.

why do people continue to get Asian character tats before verifying their accuracy? Friend of mine wanted "inner strength",(內在的力量 or 練內功) but got 內力 (inner force, as it relates to physics), and I'm the bad guy for calling her a fucking idiot? We live in the information age, no excuse for this stupidity. P.S. doves are tasty vittles

$20 dyno pulls dyno shoot out poser, I mean pretty bike contest(s) raffle for bike related crap or even an IP gift card. 5 buck raffle for a 50 buck gift card should make him some dough Bike nights don't seem to work out here in CA for many of the reasons listed above. The true riders would rather ride instead of drink and talk about riding. One of the favorite places for riders to meet up is a place named "Alice's". It's in the middle of about 10 miles of nice twisty riding and has exceptional food. The place makes killer money off both riders, exotic car rallies, and Joe Public as well. If your friend puts together a good menu and opens early enough for folks to break off and do lunch before continuing their riding or even breakfast, he'll have a winner

I'm riding for my daily 77mile oneway commute to work.

at least Patterson had a good excuse/reason for not "reading up" on current events.

the "U" in SUV stands for Utility. It won't melt or dissolve if you leave it parked outside. Many older and high mileage vehicles happily live out their lives in the snow belt while being left outside in the elements. If the shitty smog didn't rot your SUV, the pure Ohio snow filled air surely won't. The wife's SUV spent 2 years in CA, 5 in PA 2 in OH, and now back in CA. No worse for the wear. Now if your $50k SUV can't hack the snow, then you overpaid by about $45k:D

GET IT IN WRITING. Remember the salaried knife cuts both ways. Yeah there will be times when you're technically making less per hour than if you were an hourly employee, but when hours get cut back or you "need" to cut out early or come in late your pay stays the same. Either way, get it in writing.

The OH building code only requires the "common" wall(s) (the walls between the house and the garage) to be "insulated". I don't recall the specific R value, but I do know it is LOW. So if it's 12〫outside, it will only be a matter of hours before the garage is 12〫. If memory serves correctly, Ben only has the one common wall which is along a hall area, so that leaves 2 uninsulated walls and the zero insulated garage door.

I'm not so sure the "defrost thing" explains why the fridge is freezing everything. Would explain why the freezer is still frozen and the fridge is warm, but that's not the issue Ben is having. IF you cut the defrost wiring, it would only be a matter of time before the fridge & freezer iced over. Replacing the defrost timer is not complicated at all. Hell, you could take a 2 buck light timer from Wally World and wire it in to the defrost. If the fridge is freezing everything and running non stop, that tells me it is trying to meet temperature but is never able to meet it as the t-stat/thermometer is faulty and not registering the correct temps.

and financed all of his "best of the best" riding gear including 2 helmets.

modern refrigerant (R-22) BOILS at -60F, R-502 at -50〫 . Even if this fridge is 20 years old and using the now banned R-12, that has a boiling point of -20〫F. So we're looking at a Freezing point of -150〫F. I just refuse to believe that the latest winter storm has dropped temps even close to that. I've always had a beer fridge in my garages back east, and have never had a problem leaving them plugged and running through the winters. Ben, sounds like you have an underlying issue with that fridge. Most likely the T-stat is toast. It would be an easy enough DIY to replace and fairly inexpensive. You could always try moving it to the common wall with the house, as that would be warmer to see if that fixes the problem, but doesn't seem likely. Like others have said, if it's freezing or below, just unplug the thing or at the very least turn the dial all the way to off so you still have a light when you open it.

LOCKS deter some of the random thieves, alarm systems deter the more determined thieves, GUNS cure thievery altogether.

at least you are now free of the bullshit and have "CLOSURE":D

if you're replacing an old one, it should be a direct swap using the wiring diagram that came with the new. Different HVAC manufacturers use different wire color codes with no rhyme or reason. Best advice I can offer up is to remove one wire at a time from the old and connect it to the new or at the very least take a photo of the old and write down what color wire went to what spot on the old T-stat

I picked up and rode home an '08 1125R for my neighbor awhile back. We've ordered quite a bit of parts from EBR. EBR is definitely still supporting the Buell line up more than HD ever could, would, or does.

I was working for Rite Aid Corp when their stock went from $75/share to $.75/share in about 60 days. We still got a 3% raise and were expecting nothing considering all that was going on. 1.4% for those that are willing and obligated to sacrifice EVERYTHING for an ungrateful asshole like me, is just an outrage. Congress needs skull fucked
