  1. keep in mind you arent literally picking it up, just pushing it up so you dont need to be able to literally lift it. When I was 16 I "picked up" my 94 Suzuki RF600 (430lbs) that someone so kindly knocked over.

  3. Ha, oh. Suppose I should read more... Maybe I can find someone to hit it with before then so I know if I should go on the trip or not (not that it's required to ride 555, I suppose)

Where can you get these things? They look cool... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLdQ3UhLoD4
  5. That link says the road is really nice....:???: Someone go ride it and let me know if you make it out...
  6. http://www.motorcycleroads.com/routes/MidWest/OH/OH_10.shtml Who's been on it? May be better known as Route 555. I've heard some people talking about it lately, "best road to ride in Ohio". It'll probably be awhile before I make it there, the link labels the road as "very challenging" and "not for novices". Opinions?
  7. Who's been to one of these events? There's a group of guys I know going this weekend. Obviously girl roller derbies are all about just watching girls knock each other out, I don't even know if there's a structure or point system for this. No idea how someone "wins". Anyway, is it worth going to...if you have been drinking for the previous 4 hours?
  8. Sounds kinda creepy huh? http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10223559-1.html Games meet dentistry with the PediaSedate by Matt Hickey (Credit: PediaSedate) Sometimes we hear about gadgets that are made for good but could definitely be used for evil. Take the PediSedate, a combo gaming device and sedation machine. It's essentially a Game Boy system modified to distract kids ages 3 to 9 with Tetris or something while they're pumped full of nitrous oxide to knock them unconscious for dental surgery. Sounds evil, even though it's intended to make things easier on the kid. But that's not all it does. The colorful headset includes systems to monitor the patient, such as a pulse-oximeter to slightly adjust the flow of gas in real time, meaning it's safer for the kid than just raw gas. Boston-area anesthesiologist Dr. Geoffrey Hart, the company's founder, received grants totaling $1.8 million from the NIH and the Albert Einstein Society to make his vision into a product. New England product design company Design Continuum delivered prototypes. No word whether a DSi version might be in the works to update the idea, but we wouldn't doubt it. The PediSedate is not exactly brand new, but we've apparently been anesthetized, so we're wondering if any of our readers have ever come across one.
  9. I don't know you, but happy birthday!
  10. Man, if I'd known like a week ago, I'd offer you a room in my house that chris (cmoosego) and I have been working on! 3 car garage - plenty of room for bikes!
  11. I'm thinkin about comin over to Dayton from Cbus, as I grew up in Vandalia/Troy. Don't know what the route is or anything but if I can make the time, I'll come. I'd be one of the slower ones. I've been riding since I got my motorcycle temps at 15 1/2 (so 8 years) but all casual to-and-from-work riding. Never been on a group ride bigger than 3 people and nothing curvy...
