This is a 1911 we're talking about, not an AR. Almost every part will have to be fit. I've put a new MSH on my kimber and that was enough filing, checking, filing, checking for me to never want to take on an entire 1911.
I just picked up a Vortex Viper PST for my ar. The features that it had set the standard for the other scopes that I was contemplating on but in the end, the Vortex seemed to be the best bang for the buck. The PST is beyond your price range but the quality of their scopes is equal, all across their product line. Lifetime warranty too.
Hands down, I don't give a shit if you like him or not, Jesse James walks with a very elite crowd of the best all around fabricators to ever step foot on this earth. I laughed my ass off when he invited Paul Jr to come apprentice under him.
When I lived on campus, there was a laundry chute that went from the upstairs bathroom to the kitchen and then dropped in the basement. We had a 55 gallon trash can as a catch can. Nothing like dropping a deuce and an empty can down the laundry chute at the same time.
Ours is friday night. They have rented out Plank's on parsons for the night, open bar, and we have to work a 10 starting at 6am on Saturday. I'll just be having a drink or 2 and mingling to get to know some people since I just started working for this company.
