  1. Looks great, Chris! What's the barrel length on that? I've always been intrigued by .17HMR but have never bought one for some reason. Pretty explosive little round for varmints too.

    Most disliked gun?

I would have to say the Beretta Neos or the Walther SP22 because both are fugly and the SP22 is just awkward to manipulate and is unlike anything else on the market. We should do a least favorite/favorite firearm.
  3. Any capacity you are looking for? I have considered selling my pk380 to pick up a M&P fullsize 9mm.
  4. Anyone in here in Columbus have one that I could borrow for a day or two? Doing some internal polishing on a couple trigger groups and would like to measure before and after results.
  5. You've had some fun times preordering and prepaying too
  6. Easy if you have an armorer's wrench and a vice block. Depending on the free float, you may not even need either if it clamps to the standard barrel nut. Some of them (yhm, larue,DD,etc) use their own barrel nut though and require you to remove the barrel nut. Also, depending on the length of rail you decide to go with, you may need a low pro gas block.

This is just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes fellas. I've made a few bucks and some great trades on parts so far. Buying lower parts kits and selling for almost double what I paid literally an hour earlier, can't pass that shit up. I'm piecing together another gun right now to possibly sell for a decent amount more depending on if this shitstorm rolls through or not.
  8. I've been using it for a few years now. I got a case of it from a family member who used to work for a PPG supplier in florida. The price for one application of it from O'reilly's is like $9.99 though.
  9. So glad I jumped on the spikes stripped lower, yhm stripped upper, and yhm free float when I did because I can't even touch the lower for the price I got all 3 for.
  10. Wasn't able to go today. I found out at 3:00 yesterday that I had to work today.

    Dry Firing

That guy at gun world is more of a douche than shitty is. I will never buy anything in that overpriced dump.
  12. My current build is starting off as a pistol that way I can already have my barrel on a completed gun and just swap the buffer tube and stock once the stamp returns.
  13. Maybe in 6 months someone will have considered looking at your tax stamp paperwork, then waits another 6.
  14. Just got an invite from a member to go with him to the show this weekend. Anyone here a member or been to one of the shows before? I'm just going for the experience and to drool over rare guns but maybe I'll find something I can afford.
  15. What are you looking to do? Go off the grid, tinker with running small electronics, etc?
  16. I went with the ace stock because it was cheap at the time and because the stocks that I'm considering use an a2 buffer tube as well. Possibly working out a trade on arfcom for a 1st gen PRS.

    New toy.

If you're claiming it to be a .25 MOA setup then you should have zero issues pushing 30-06 out to 500.
  18. Wanna touch it? I'm happy with the way it turned out. Already looking for a better buttstock though. So far I have only put 80 rounds down the tube with the vortex on. The reticle is pretty damn clear ,it's not nightforce or s&b quality, but it's damn good for the price range. I will hopefully start working up some loads for it in the next few weeks so I'll give a little better review on the optic and my overall impression of the gun then. For the price tag though, there wasn't much else that was FFP, mil/mil, exposed turrets, illuminates reticle, and also came with a no questions asked lifetime warranty. I'd like to check out a falcon menace or swfa super sniper too because both of those tend to get badass reviews as well for being cheaper optics.

    New toy.

I'll get in on this challenge. I've got the space to shoot out to 1400yds if you would like to work your way out to some distance. I'd be curious just to see how my build will hold up to the finest rifle that has ever crossed the Walmart checkout line.

    New toy.

Pic of porch banister for added reference.
  21. Why don't you just find someone that can get you the real deal?
  22. You can buy a slim jim at most auto parts stores and at the grocery store checkout.
  23. Just a thought but what do you plan to do with all 4x8' of welding table? Depending on what you are doing, that may be overkill. My 4x6' table is only a 1/4" top and I have a rear axle jig for narrowing my 8.8, a massive Ridgid vice, and still have plenty of room to do just about anything. And is it going against a garage wall or will it be on casters?
  24. No biggie. Wasn't completely sure myself if they were similar slides but I didn't think so since the shield is single stack.
  25. You sure that's not a M&P C? He's looking for a shield.
