Right now I work 6-4:30 Mon-Sat so I would be able to make the evening rides depending on the start location and time.

My plan as of now is to just find the time to get out and ride. I'll most likely ride in the evenings after work and try to get in about 20+ 5 nights a week until I get back in the groove. I loved the Saturday prospect rides last year but I'll most likely be working most Saturdays this year. I plan to ride pelotonia if I'm still in Ohio and the tour de donut was a blast last year so I'll try to train better for it and should be able to easily break last years time.

Don't forget to mention that every damn surface on a Mac11 has something sharp. I cut myself 2 or 3 times in the 3 days that I owned one.

I have a 597 in 22mag and the only issues I ever seem to have are magazine related. All of my magazines for it are the early plastic mags but I have read that the newer aluminum body mags are more reliable. It will never be 10/22 reliable but still makes for a decent shorter range varmint popper. But yes, the aftermarket for it is a major downfall.

You say you don't like the looks of the Ruger 22/45 but are looking into a .22 1911. The 22/45 is the same grip angle and dimension of a 1911, has a huge aftermarket, and operates with all the same manipulations of a 1911. I bought one for cheap plinking and training so that I don't have to burn through 45acp. The MK series has a cult like following, comes in a variety of combinations, and are probably one of the most reliable of the group mentioned as well as the Browning Buckmark.

Bought it in July of 2010. Has a stippled grip and less than 700 rounds through it. PK is the one on top

Anyone in here in Columbus have one that I could borrow for a day or two? Doing some internal polishing on a couple trigger groups and would like to measure before and after results.
