RidersDiscount
Spidi has been producing gloves since the 1970’s and their 35+ years of experience means that they are no strangers to designing gear that performs at the highest level. The Italian brand used all of this experience, plus input and data from world-class riders like Andrea Dovisioso to bring us their latest and greatest pair of gloves – the Spidi Carbo Track. The Spidi Carbo Track gloves are full grain cowhide gauntlets that are held together with sturdy Kevlar thread. Multiple layers of leather cover vulnerable areas like the fingers, while synthetic Clarino is laid over it to reinforce the palms. The gloves are also bristling with other protective materials that work with the high-end leather to keep your hands safe. Like many gloves, you will find carbon fiber guards over the knuckles and back of the hands, but there are also multiple layers of energy absorbing materials underneath these pieces that help keep impact force to a minimum. The most noticeable feature of the Carbo Track gloves, however, has to be Spidi’s Warrior Tech system. These are the panels of rubbery, plastic-like material that run from the wrist to the pinkie on the outside of the hand. The material itself is highly abrasion resistant, has excellent impact absorbing properties, and works as a slider to deflect energy away. It is separated in to cube shaped pieces within each panel that allow it to flex extremely well without reducing the amount of protection it provides.Spidi’s Carbo Track gloves are both track ready and comfortable enough to be worn on the street, so they make a great option for any rider that is looking for high-end gloves that provide excellent protection and build quality. Carbon fiber protects the knuckles and back of the hand. Multiple layers of energy absorbing materials are stacked underneath to keep impact energy to a minimum.Multiple layers of leather and carbon fiber guard the fingers. Perforations are also found between the fingers to allow air to flow through. The pinkie also receives its own dedicated protective panel. The outside of each wrist is not left off the list of protected areas. RidersDiscount
Here’s a look at the black version of the Spidi Carbo Track gloves. The Warrior Tech Armor on running down the outside of the hand is silver on this model, which gives them an interesting look compared to most solid black gauntlets.
