magley64
He is just stalling for whatever reason, and he is only doing it to make it "appear" that he is going through the process and proper channels. If the vote comes back as "NO" Barry is still gonna go. There WILL be boots on the ground, we are involving ourselves in a civil war, the only thing that can quiet things down for a while is a tactical nuke. Along with that comes much collateral damage, but boy would that send a message to the bad guys. Israel could demolish them all, but they won't........they want us to do it and for us to lose soldiers and spend our money doing it for them. yeah... respond to a country poisoning it's own people with sarin by firing a nuke at those same people? smart... firing a few missiles at their military installations makes the most sense in response to what is becoming a clear violation of the geneva convention regarding the use of chemical weapons. But tell us more Nostradamus... all of your predictions so far have been spot on... You gotta appease the masses, and Z is still more than likely going to prison for a long time. Pretty fucked up to get hit with a lesser charge, especially when it isn't gonna keep you out of prison "and 30 years at that"!!!!! He is gonna beat the actual charge, but lets charge him with something so there won't be riots. PATHETIC When was he convicted, he wasn't, then where were all those riots you promised? Oh right... nowhere... An overturned rack of sport coats at mens warehouse, a riot is not... Edited September 4, 2013 by magley64
ReconRat
Actually, they are Bush's WMD's there is little or no doubt they came from Iraq.Disagree. Consensus is that they came from Iran, or details on how to produce them came from Iran. With a little help from Russia along the way. Granted that we did the same for Iraq. Along with recently discovered parts and pieces of an unknown rocket style artillery round that delievered the payload in the gas attack, is of Iranian design and manufacture. Videos on line show Iranian cadre teaching how to use it to Syrian troops in Syria. Iran also volunteered to take all the gas and launch weapons back to Iran, to defuse the situation in Syria. Nice of them... edit: oops, I do recall compelling evidence that Iraqi chemical weapons were smuggled out of Iraq and hidden in both Lebanon Bekka Valley, and in the remote desert of Syria. Who knows where those are now. Edited September 4, 2013 by ReconRat
Medina
firing a few missiles at their military installations makes the most sense in response to what is becoming a clear violation of the geneva convention regarding the use of chemical weapons. One year ago, quite likely the same group of supporters attacked, and killed members of our military. Now, one year later, obama is offering to become their air force, and russia said it wont quit sending surface to air defense missiles to syria...what could possibly go wrong? When did he offer to send in our air force? All i've heard about so far is a limited strike on syria's military using missiles fired from warships and drones in the area... magley64
Really? Ok then, so we become al qaeda's navy then..... No, we enforce the geneva convention... if syria were using regular arms against whoever their enemies were, I'd say we stfu and gtfo... but since they've likely decided to cross the line into war crimes...someone needs to punish them. A mercenary is a person who takes part in an armed conflict, who is not a national or a party to the conflict and is "motivated to take part in the hostilities essentially by the desire for private gain and, in fact, is promised, by or on behalf of a party to the conflict, material compensation substantially in excess of that promised or paid to combatants of similar ranks and functions in the armed forces of that Party" Neither side is paying us... we're motivated by enforcing laws that the global community has agreed upon... "Secretary of State John Kerry said at Wednesday’s hearing that Arab counties have offered to pay for the entirety of unseating President Bashar al-Assad if the United States took the lead militarily." An overturned rack of sport coats at mens warehouse, a riot is not... There has to be collateral damage "you dumb naive ass that thinks he knows everything", air strikes and boots on the ground will do nothing for the vermin over there. A certain war was ended because of some massive atomic explosions that really fucked up allot of people and allot of shit, it was beyond inhumane and a travesty against mankind.....but it was effective none the less. The Middle East being strategically nuked would for sure quiet things down for a good long time, there is no other conventional way of warfare in that region that will be effective. So since that is not going to happen, we will continue to have our soldiers killed while making no headway or progress. We will open Pandoras box for Al Qaeda to rebuild and gain strength and momentum, and the circle will continue again and again. People are fleeing and relocating in massive numbers, so let "ISRAEL" take advantage of that. Of course I am all for saying to hell with the entire thing, because whatever we do is not gonna make a shit bit of difference. Us striking will cause more harm than good, and us putting boots on the ground "and that will happen" will be more wasted dollars we do not have and more lives we should not be losing. Too many people are suffering over there and things will never get better, might be time to end the suffering. I sure would not want to be the one making that call, but nothing else is going to work for very long. And how do you know there was no rioting, you do not watch the news remember? Was it as violent as MANY thought it would be, thankfully no. For once many individuals kept a level head, no good outcome was gonna occur.....and the authorities were ready unlike the LA riots. I don't think that syria should get away with using chemical weapons, and if that is the case, then I think Someone should punish them... If nobody else is going to do it, then we are going to have to.
