Welding jobs

Nice work.  What's your hourly rate for OR members?  Or is it more "depends on the project?"

If I ever find a project bike, I would probably have some simple welding projects to outsource.  Things like sub-frames, maybe a custom luggage rack, etc.     Nothing that would have to be as pretty as the work above, but I understand the need to do it well and not just well enough.

I could do repairs from $1-3/in. If its brought it clean and ready to weld it'll be cheaper. Fabrication, sand blasting, and polishing would add more. As far as quality, no matter what the job is I won't sacrifice my quality. Doesn't matter if its a $1 job or $1000. Edited by rawlins87

Don't mean to jack this thread, but my 17 year old wants to go to Hobart next year. 9 month program. Any thoughts?BTW, them's sum purdy beads.

Many of our welders went there, couple of them teach too. From what I have heard they have a great program.

not sure what industry you're in now, but my buddy who used to work in drilling said the bit welders make disgusting money.   Every job is a rush-job, and the drilling companies pay accordingly.

So it's crazy hours that kill your social-life, but an excellent living.  He worked in drilling for 4 or 5 years.  Lived in Texas, Colorado, Louisiana, Dubai, and Oklahoma over that stretch.

A little sand blasting today

304 stainless

I can sand blast large parts if anyone needs something done. Easily a xr100 frame.

These parts we put in a tumbler to remove burrs from our punch press. The sand blasting was purely for a finished look. Can tumble parts for anyone as well.

A friend of mine is looking to get some 304 stainless fittings welded into stainless kegs, he has 3 kegs and a total of 3 or 4    1/2" NPT fittings. If we drill the holes and prep and just bring you the kegs/fittings, do you have an estimate on price? You can PM me if you prefer. Thanks!
