Casper
I'm digging it. Thoughts?
Pokey
The 650 very much so, I am not liking the 1000 however.
cmh_sprint
vast improvement in looks. I like the orange color and the looks of the 1000 more than the 650. it would be nice to see more specs on the 650 version.
DAC
The 1k seems to spec out like the VFR800X - which is not US-bound (yet) - but with more power and a tick lighter.
ScubaCinci
I like the Versys 1k...I wanted one a few years ago when they were available outside the US. Now, Id rather have the Yamaha Super Tenere ES.
smccrory
I'm with Pokey - the 650 size/weight/power trifecta gets great reviews for corner carving, commuting and light hooliganism, SV style. The 1k seems to be going for wider use, like light touring, but I think still comes up well short of Suzuki's DL650 and DL1000 near the same price points. You can't remove it without it looking like complete shit. Edit: Unless it's just like the fork reflector, and they drilled a hole in the cover. Maybe they used some 3M Double Sided Sticky Tape Trademark and Shit?Remove reflector. Save 3oz and save .2% drag coefficient.
bandit12
I wouldn't mind cruising around on the 1000 for a while just to see if I liked it.
