Cdubyah
Anyone every used this product?http://www.vhtpaint.com/products/flameproof/ Looking to upgrade the pipes on my mean streak, but finding them in black has always been a challenge. So now I'm contemplating purchasing a chrome set, and them having them ceramic coated.Problem is, I don't want to pay the $300 to paint/coat on top of a $500 exhaust. I ran across this product, and now am comtemplating giving it a whirl. Cost would be >$30.Maybe Hoblick would even rent me some oven space to cook 'em. Here is a youtube video of a fella giving his night rod the treatment. (mind his pumbers crack) He stated he did four (4) coats, and would probably add two (2) more.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQU7Y0jSLaU Thoughts? Tonik
I used it on my last bike, it had a catalytic converter in front of the rear wheel. It looked great until it rained, then it turned a brownish color.

Gixxus Christ!
Tried to paint a motor with It. Followed the baking instructions. could remove with my thumb nail. Not sure it's gonna want to stick to chrome.
Tonik
Painting exhaust never ends well. The ceramic on the outside wont last long, I did that once.Wrap it.
Gixxus Christ!
I had the honda exhaust done with hi temp powder coat. It's flaking off, probably because it's chrome underneath.

Not sure it's gonna want to stick to chrome. Yeah it appears to look like a dusting, that can be rubbed off with a paper towel. I watched another video. Granted that guy didn't cook it properly either.Might have to get some for trial and error purposes. Before dropping coin. Maybe sandblast and prime it first. I really hate the look of wrapped pipes on crusiers. Edited April 10, 2015 by Cdubyah

Cdubyah
Did you sand blast them first? Or just powder coat over the chrome?
