The new buckle system on the Tech 10's is much improved, a "set it, and forget it" buckle. Easy to use and replaceable in the event they break. Alpinestars has also added a TPU shin plate much like the rear achilles plate to now not only prevent hyperextension, but hyperflexion as well.

The Alpinestars Tech 10 uses an inner bootie with an innovative ankle brace system to control ankle and leg rotation, while still allowing for freedom of movement on the pegs. 

 

 

On the inner portion of the boot you'll find rubberized grip panels that allow you to grip on to your bike through the trails or jumping the mx track.
