Women's World Cup. I don't get it.

11) The US Women's national team is considered by far the best women's soccer team in the world, yet the few times they have played against amateur boys high school, they have always lost. They lost 8-2 to an American Under 17 boys team in scrimmage. They lost 2-1 to a Under 15 boys team.

I wouldn't take too much stock in those stats.   What do the US women have to gain from winning scrimmages against high school kids?  I just don't buy that they're playing that hard.   I would guess those are 'tune up games' to get the women acclimated to the teammates they barely ever play with, and to give the non-starters some playing time.

...but are we really having this debate?   Either you find something entertaining, or you don't.  I find women's soccer entertaining in the same way that I find the KTM 390 cup entertaining.

No, they're not the biggest or fastest competitors.  They're not the most skilled competitors - but they're evenly matched, so it's good competition.

I can't say the same about women's basketball though.  The game loses some physicality that I miss.  Plus who wants to watch women who are taller than you?
