Popular Post MidgetTodd
For those that followed us this season BeIn has finally posted race 2 from Barber. It was by far Gavin's best performance of the season and arguably the best battle of all classes all season. Grab a beer and watch. It is absolutely worth every minute. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNaCj6zHgAs&sns=em Edited October 17, 2017 by MidgetTodd 1 2
hiro
The RC Cup is going away? Anything to replace it? What's the R3 for?
MidgetTodd
The cup is not going away. It's now the Junior Cup and open to all manufacturers with a 300 class machine. We feel the R3 is a better platform for him and opens the door for us to additional sponsors

CBBaron
Wow, that is much more interesting than the big bikes. The TV shots on the last lap still showed over 10 bikes in the frame. Hell of a job by Gavin!!
TimTheAzn
Gavin is a hell of a rider. It was unfortunate that he had some bad luck at the Pitt Race round where I was actually able to see him race in person! Look forward to following him next season, and maybe @MidgetTodd will actually take us over to the pits next time to introduce us!
MidgetTodd
You guys didn't stop by. And yes that round sucked with the bike problems because he is fast there. His track day times there were faster than the winning times

MidgetTodd
He had to. They wouldn't let us sign him up in A. They insisted on evaluating him even when we provided his professional race license. When he ghosted the coach on a 600 with his 390 they agreed he was approved for A. It was a such a joke
MidgetTodd
Right lol. He followed him into turn one and two then said fuck this and went inside him in 3 and checked out. Little asshole
what
Barber looks like a great track for the lower displacement bikes, not a lot of long straights and plenty of opportunity to pass. I'll check the race out tonight after work, I've enjoyed following Gavin this year and watching his progress and I'm really looking forward to seeing him on the podium every race next year

MidgetTodd
We'll be back at Barber in a couple weeks for the WERA GNF. Come watch. He'll be on his game on an SV650, 390 and R3. Nov 2-

hiro
What's up with people crashing out on the last lap? They weren't even close to the front. And everyone cuts that one corner.
MidgetTodd
Last race of the season. All in the points race. Trip to Spain on the line. Potential sponsors watching to see who's hungry for a ride in 2018. Racing. What they don't clearly show there is Standish is lucky to be alive. The guard rail got his neck between his helmet and suit and sliced him open then he was pinned under the bike. The safety team was completely on their game that day and he lived to race again. They got the bleeding controlled and the bike removed then a very fast ride to the ER and surgery. That kid had an angel watching him that day no question Edited October 18, 2017 by MidgetTodd

Pole time was right around 2:00 with the chicane. So about 4 seconds faster if you take out the chicane like at track days.
CBBaron
I was really humbled comparing my times on the PIRC kart track to Gavin's xr100 times. I think he would lap me in a 5 lap race I need to run that more often next year.
