ReconRat Posted October 28, 2017 Report Share Posted October 28, 2017 Aircraft mechanics use naptha (lighter fluid) to clean rubber. A tire would use a lot of it, so I wouldn't unless desperate to remove something from the tire. I use it a lot for windshield wiper blades.
