RidersDiscount
If you’re feeling any vibration when you grab the front brake lever, it’s time to replace your rotors! Even the slightest ding or bend can cause quite a bit of vibration when the brakes are applied. You can easily eliminate that problem with a set of EBC Floating Front Brake Rotors. And not only that, you’ll experience improved braking performance in terms of feel and power, too! These rotors are designed to be as light as possible, which makes it easier for the forks to keep the front wheel in contact with the ground, but also, require less effort to change the direction since spinning mass has been reduced. This weight reduction is achieved via careful design analysis of brake’s aluminum carrier design which, through EBC’s S-Drive Button System, is affixed to a flat stainless steel friction surface. The result is a perfectly flat disc (which eliminates vibration) that’s lighter, yet stronger, than the stock rotor it replaces. Unlike conventional floating brake rotors, the S-Drive button system uses square-size rivets to hold everything together, so the rotors can’t be physically moved. The design allows the stainless steel friction surface to expand and contract on the same plane as the friction surface. This eliminates the risk of pushing the brake caliper pistons back into their bodies as on conventional floating rotors, thereby increasing reaction time when you grab the brakes when compared to conventional floating rotors. EBC’s Floating front brake rotors are available in two styles, for most bikes: X and XC styles. The X style features a round friction surface while the XC style uses a contoured design that’s a little lighter than the X variant. For the ultimate in performance, we recommend the XC rotors wherever they’re available. Available for a wide range of modern, fast bikes order yours any time between 10am-6pm EST by calling 866.931.6644 ext 817 or email us forum@ridersdiscount.com with EBC BRAKE ROTORS in the subject line, along with the make, year and model of your machine so we can get you set up right!
