The SFM, as it’s known colloquially, is a required component for anyone looking to add a Dynojet quick shifter and it’s an especially useful device for anyone that’s had a proper engine build completed, superstock or superbike – as it allows your dyno tuner to provide the most complete engine maps possible. The device plugs into the Power Commander V on one end, and the other side pigtails are attached to your bike’s secondary fuel injectors. These are the ones that come on at full throttle. When used in conjunction with a quick shift kit from Dynojet, these are the injectors that are shut off momentarily when you shift gears, thereby unloading the transmission and allow you to snick into a higher gear.
