Sawbinder
Went and bought the new T-Top rubber weather stripping and tore the old one out. It was a bitch to get off. My questions are as follows? 1. What is the black shit that they glued the originals in with and what do you use to clean them up? 2. where can I get some of the black tar looking stuff and waht is it called? 3. has anybody done this before and if so any tips would be greatly appreaciated. thanks for any help

Guest racinbird
Probably 3M weatherstrip adhesive, turns pretty sticky and gooy. Works well. Cut off old bigger pieces that tore off with a razor blade. Then try useing a rubber style wheel, its like an eraser material to get the old stuff off. It goes into a drill like any drill bit. PITA but it can be done. Any parts store should carry the stuff. If you cant find any PM me and Ill "borrow" some from work tomorrow. Make sure you buy the black color, yellow shows way too easily
