reringed the turbo donkey

2.2L chrysler 9.5.1 comp

TRW heavy duty rings

I can get the boost as low as 4psi to break it in

anyone have a recomended mileage

with an n/a car I just let it idle with changing rpm for 15-30 minutes and then go beat the shit out of it for about 40 miles making sure to constantly vary rpm

with the added cylinder pressures from the turbo its probably not good to break it in that way though

Actually your N/A strategy works well for turbo aplications as well. Dont run full boost obviously, but increasing cylinder pressure will create the proper linear force and push the rings against the freshly hashed walls and create a nice seal.

Immediately after my build up, I allowed it to warm up with varying RPMs then drove directly to the freeway for 3rd gear pulls @ 17psi. I now have a very good seal.
